What a prize!

by

My wife and I are now both retired. Gardening is becoming one of our favorite pastimes. I ordered this as a surprise gift.
The tool comes in a nice wooden box, held securely in it's sheath. Beautiful gift presentation.
Now for the important part. The tool does everything as advertised. Worth every penny!

Great Tool-Versatile

by

As others have said, this tool is high quality, well-made and does whatever is asked of it. The bamboo handle gives the tool a rugged, strong feel. You might balk at the cost with the sheath but DO NOT hesitate to purchase this true Multi-purpose tool. There are imitators on the market, but none can beat the Hori Hori. The serrated edge is terrific for digging in soil where there are roots. Just Get It. You won't be disappointed and your work will be made easier.

Best Hori Hori tool I have ever handled!

by

This Hori Hori knife/tool is the best I have ever used. It feels balanced, solid and strong. I am left-handed and I was concerned it might nor work, I had no reason to worry, it is a joy to use. There are no screws or blade to handle fasteners that loosen over time. And the hammer end has come in handy too. I highly recommend this tool.

Does it all

by

After 5 hours of work prepping the urban backyard for Easter festivities, I can attest to the usefulness of the Hori Hori. Especially if you encounter vines and roots when planting.

This thing will also accompany me through the zombie apocalypse. It's that well built.

Awesome tool, misleading picture.

by

The moment I saw this tool, I knew I wanted one. I couldn't wait for it to arrive. As soon as I got it, I opened it up to find that it did not come with the holster. This is a shame, since it is pictured Together, and there was no separate "holster" line item to purchase. The tool itself is as cool as it looks. It is balanced, cuts well, and feels good in my hand. Nonetheless, my enthusiasm for this purchase is diminished since I feel like I didn't get all that I thought I was getting.

Let's garden

by

This is a fine product, mine was supposed to come with a tool sheath and it did not. This really bugs me because of the potential for damage to the tool as it sits in my garden tool bucket. I really wish the sheath had come with it

The Barebones Living Story

How can tough garden tools be do-gooders, too?

Built Tough

Barebones Living believes in building quality gardening tools, and their durable gear—like a spade, hoe, and the multi-functional Ultimate Tool—can easily handle digging in the dirt and many more tough jobs.

Founder Robert Workman applies the Shaker philosophy (creating things that are equal parts necessary, useful, and beautiful) to his well-made tools. His designs have a minimal-but-functional feel, and are made with strong, long-lasting materials like tempered stainless steel and bamboo to handily dig, weed, till, and tackle other dirty jobs without wearing down.

Barebones Living was
created to support Robert’s own non-profit. They now give back to marginalized people—from providing shelter after natural disasters to helping fund mobile medical clinics. For all the good these tools do in your garden, they’re also making a positive impact around the world. Read More Read Less
