Tarnishes immediately

12/29/2015 by Rick

Bought this as a gift for my wife as she always likes to tie her hair back during the day but after one day of wearing the bracelet her wrist was green. Will have to reorder when they make it available in Sterling Silver.

Awful. Huge disappointment.

The idea is great. Forget the follow through. First of all, I'm petite and I can't even get this on my wrist. It's wide enough but the opening is far too small. It hurts to put on. Second, the craftsmanship is horrible. Much like the other reviewer mine arrived with scratches, rough spots, and little bumps. Don't waste your money.

WAS so excited and NOW am so disappointed

12/20/2015 by Ellonyia

I loved the look and most of the reviews were positive. Some mentioned that it scratched easily but I didnt care about that. When it arrived I loved the look and received compliments on it right away. I was so excited to have this....
The next day my wrist looked a bit bruised from the bracelet already starting to tarnish (1 day of light wearing later). I thought maybe it was residual tarnish from being made so I wiped it down. Today again after only having had it on for a little while yesterday my wrist looks bruised from the tarnish.
This should not happen, at least so quickly, and especially NOT for the purchase price. I am VERY disappointed in this product.

Don't waste your money.

Very poor workmanship -- the finish is not of the quality anyone should be proud to make or sell. There are places on it that didn't get finished at all, and there are several pits & rough spots all over the inside of the band, so even though you can't see them from the outside, it's uncomfortable to wear. Barely worth $15; definitely not worth $45. Love the idea, but the execution left a lot to be desired in this case.

Cute, but tarnished immediatly

12/14/2015 by Allison

I love this and showed it off to all my girlfriends, but I was surprised, and very disappointed that the bracelet began to tarnish with less than a week's wear. Its already gone black on the inside, and spots are appearing on the sides of the bracelet. It's visible, and not cute. I hope the seller will fix this!

Nope.

I wanted so bad to love this bracelet. I saw the reviews both high and low before I ordered and just thought the low reviews were crabby. Nope. Love how it looks, but it's only been on my wrist a few hours at work and there are already big gashes and scratches in it from who knows what. Too easy to ruin. I'm only typing! Bummed.

The bittersweet Story

Your wrist can hold elastics. But this is better.

Flexible Fashion

Want to put your hair in a ponytail on a moment’s notice? Then you probably wear a hair elastic on your wrist day after day (like about half the women at our office). It’s practical but not very sophisticated, and it leaves dents on your wrist.

bittersweet by Maria Shireen® makes sleek hair tie bracelets out of stainless steel. Slip the bracelet on, then the elastic over to rest in the groove. The metallic designs look at home from the office to running errands to a night out.

The story behind the bittersweet is super sweet. Shireen Maria Thor and her husband, Arni, are both engineers. One
Christmas, Arni created a metal bracelet holder for Shireen’s elastics. He engraved her name in Persian (her mom’s native language). But because Persian reads right to left, it said Maria Shireen—which translates to bittersweet.

Shireen happily donned her bracelet out and about, and women kept asking where she got it. The couple knew they were on to something, and the two engineers became entrepreneurs.

Each bittersweet bracelet holds one thicker elastic or a few smaller ones. Now you can be prepared to pull your hair (or your kids’ hair) back while looking put together.
