Really wanted to like this product

11/2/2019 by Allison

I’ve been using the eco egg for a few months and sadly have had to use regular laundry detergent as often as I’ve tried to use the egg. I purchased the unsented minerals and have had very few loads that come out smelling clean. I’ve double-washed in hot water and that has helped but kinda negates the environmental benefits the egg should have and increases my water bill.

Just okay

Works, kind of. I can't feel that my laundry is really clean unless I add detergent, though.

After washing, an offensive odor.

10/25/2019 by Neil

It washed the clothes well, but the fragrance-free product left an offensive odor to someone with a sensitive nose. Fragrance-free does not always mean no odor. Has happened to me with other products, also. Had to discard.

Not sure about this.

8/17/2019 by Lourdes

I ordered one of these to see if I noticed any difference with my clothes. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if I’m one of those people that has see suds to believe it’s cleaning but I’m not quite sure this is for me. I have a front load and the way the water is dispersed is very different from a top load so I’m not sure if this is cleaning my clothes properly. I’m stuck with it now but I’m not really using it.

Meh...

I bought the fresh linen scent but it really doesn't smell very good. My clothes are OK but I can't help wanting to put in laundry detergent so it will smell better.

So far, it's just ok

4/30/2019 by christina

I bought the unscented one for me and a scented one for my parents. They haven't started using theirs yet. I love the idea of not having to buy detergent for a long time and how little space this takes up. I've tried different types of natural detergent including making my own. I've been using this one for a couple months and I still can't tell how well it's really working.

Leaves no scent

3/2/2019 by Graciela

I purchased the scented minerals but it leaves no scent on the clothes. Also, on the 2nd wash it came apart, so now I make sure that it is properly closed. It was hard to gather all the beads. Also, in the advertising it did not mention that you need to use the deep water option on your machine.

Verdict is still out

3/2/2019 by Pauline

I am using the laundry egg, but haven't made up my mind if it's great or not. Sometimes my wash feels still and this may be due to our hard water. But the laundry is clean, I just have to remember to apply spot remover to stains.

Have not tried it with added fragrance.

Would like a fresh smell added.

Won't buy again

Doesn't seem to get my clothes clean - noticed with some white clothes.

The Ecoegg Story

Don’t buy laundry detergent again till 2020.

Laundry Load

When we first heard about Ecoegg’s all-natural, long-lasting laundry detergent alternative and dryer eggs, they sounded almost too good to be true.

When you do the wash, you don’t need to use pods or liquid detergent. Toss Ecoegg’s washer egg in with your load and the pellets inside do the cleaning and stain fighting. Ceramic pellets weaken the bonds between dirt and fabric, while mineral ones ionize the oxygen in the water, lifting grime without damaging fibers.

Each laundry egg comes with enough refillable pellets for 210 or 720 washes. Whether it’s just you or you’re washing for the whole
family, one egg could last for up to three years.

Ecoegg makes hypoallergenic dryer eggs, too. They’re dermatologically tested for sensitive skin. Fragrance sticks infuse your clothes with a fresh scent and the nodules on the egg’s surface soften fabric and reduce drying time by almost a third.

Enjoy a more wallet- and environment-friendly way of doing your laundry.
