So far, so good. I love it! I haven't had it that long but it certainly seems to be doing the job :)

It Really Works as Well as Laundry Detergent

8/10/2019 by Diane

I'll admit I was skeptical about this egg. I also didn't want to rush into writing a review until I had used it enough times to really test it out. I got it in February, so I've had it nearly six months and have just reached the 72 load mark.

This product works as well as regular liquid or powdered laundry detergent but don't expect miracles. If it's something that you would have pre-treated when using laundry detergent, you will have to pre-treat it with this as well.

In general, my clothes come out clean looking and smelling. To really test the odor removing power, I washed my son's clothes with it. He's in his 20s and works construction, so he works up a sweat. Even his socks smelled fresh after being washed with this.

I am a gardener and I made sure to test it on some really dirty clothes that I wore while gardening. It worked as well as detergent. In other words, grass stains had to be pre-treated, but regular dirt came off.

One con that I noticed is that it doesn't work that well on oily stains. I got some kind of oily salad dressing on my work scrub top. If I was using detergent, I would have applied the detergent directly to that stain. Obviously, I couldn't do that with this. I put the shirt through the wash and the stain remained after it was done. I sprayed it with shout and put it through the next load and it went away. So, again, I stress that it will not work better than laundry detergent and if you would normally pre-treat something, you will still have to do that.

All-in-all, I recommend this product. I've also tried it out at the laundromat (to wash a large item my machine can't handle) and it worked equally well in the commercial washer. This would be a great thing for someone who has to wash their laundry at a laundromat because it sure beats lugging a big jug of detergent and you don't have to worry about someone grabbing it because it's in the machine. Only problem is you'd need more than one if you normally do more than one load at a time there, so keep that in mind.

I just put the first refill packet ini the egg. The old balls seem to shrink over time, so this is why you need to refill it.

I am planning a vacation next month (to a city on the other coast) and I'm planning to only take a few outfits and find a laundromat one day in the middle of the week. This will save space in my luggage. I plan on bringing my egg because it is not liquid. I won't have to buy a bottle of detergent while there and it will take up almost no space in my bag.

What I love most about this egg is that I am not adding more single use plastic to a landfill. I don't have to throw away a big plastic laundry detergent bottle every couple of months. Yes, the egg, itself, is plastic, but I will probably get a few years out of it.

Very happy with this!

I was a bit skeptic but I really like this, the clothes smell good and clean well. My clothes are much softer than when I used detergent, I use this in conjunction with the dryer balls. I will be buying another so my daughter can take it to college, I think it will be much easier for her to use this than hauling detergent with her to do laundry.

Egg and wool balls for washing and drying your clothes

I really like the egg and the wool balls. My clothes come out smelling clean and wrinkle free.
I will be buying more of the pearls you add to the egg. I have told my friends about both of them.

Love these

I've been using mineral balls for years as I'm allergy to A lot of detergents. I like the larger size and the ability to refill.

Kind of life changing

The Ecoegg leaves my clothes clean, fresh and not only feeling better (softer and residue free) but also looking better (brighter). Using this product is liberating! I care about the environment and the Ecoegg is revolutionary. I can’t say enough good things about this product.

An Incredible Invention!

7/7/2019 by Martha

I bought the egg because I was intrigued by the claims and now I am SO hooked on it! I no longer have to lug heavy detergent bottles or powders and I know I am being kinder to the environment with no chemicals and nothing to put in the landfill. I give the eggs for presents all the time now. And if you had a family member with allergies to fragrances, etc., this is just the thing! All thumbs up!!!!

So easy!

I am really happy to have found this product. It works great! I do have a question, though. How will I know when it is time to refill the egg with new pellets?

The Ecoegg Story

Don’t buy laundry detergent again till 2020.

Laundry Load

When we first heard about Ecoegg’s all-natural, long-lasting laundry detergent alternative and dryer eggs, they sounded almost too good to be true.

When you do the wash, you don’t need to use pods or liquid detergent. Toss Ecoegg’s washer egg in with your load and the pellets inside do the cleaning and stain fighting. Ceramic pellets weaken the bonds between dirt and fabric, while mineral ones ionize the oxygen in the water, lifting grime without damaging fibers.

Each laundry egg comes with enough refillable pellets for 210 or 720 washes. Whether it’s just you or you’re washing for the whole
family, one egg could last for up to three years.

Ecoegg makes hypoallergenic dryer eggs, too. They’re dermatologically tested for sensitive skin. Fragrance sticks infuse your clothes with a fresh scent and the nodules on the egg’s surface soften fabric and reduce drying time by almost a third.

Enjoy a more wallet- and environment-friendly way of doing your laundry.
