versatile and ergonomic

well made and has many options to attach your growing number of keys and stuff. LIght and wont accidentally set off your car alarm like bulky carabiners might. Fire starter more of a gimmick but works well once your BIC runs out of fuel during the Post Trump Bacillus Stupido Apocalypse hits.

Guys love this

9/24/2019 by Audrey

The guys love this so much! Especially those that hike. I placed one on my purse, never know when you might need a spark! Living in earthquake prone area has made me paranoid about not having chargers, ways to cook other than gas or electricity. So being able to start a charcoal bbq is awesome!

Handy device

I find the carabiners pretty cool. They fit into my daily routine of clipping them on pockets and belt loops. I’ve always used a carabiner for personal use just to keep things together such as things at work and especially keys. I found the holes at the bottom to hang your keys from a key ring a nice addition to the traditional carabiner everyone is accustomed to using. My only complaint was the residue on the flint that would get all over you but after a while that excess goes away.

disappointed

Pretty disappointed with this. The cutting feature is inadequate and I am not sure what the holes along the bottom are supposed to do. FYI- I would like to get more of the orange USB powered flashlights I got on here some time ago. Thanks.

Does Not live up to the hype

6/13/2018 by Marie

The spark happens, but my kindling never ignited. My thumb got a great workout and was irritated by the time I gave up. This invention needs more tweaking.

Very Disappointed

After about 4 months, the one I gave my husband for Christmas broke.

The latch is weak

8/12/2017 by JMG

The latch completely fell off the firebiner. My keys fell to the floor with a car key two house keys and two pad lock keys. Not very secure.

Father's Day Present

8/2/2017 by Terry

I got this for my husband and son for Father's Day. My son used his for the first time this month. He said it broke and part of it is not functioning any more. I would have thought this product would last longer than one use! Very disappointing.

The Outdoor Element Story

Outdoor Element | Flint Multi-Tool Carabiner

Spark Starter

Outdoor Element was started by Maker Mike Mojica to pack as much functionality as possible into lightweight and compact everyday carry essentials.

Weighing in at just one ounce, the Flint carabiner is equipped with a screwdriver tip, a bottle opener, blade, and—our favorite feature—a flint lighter. Fire Escape is its buffer, hardier counterpart. This bulked-up carabiner can carry up to 125 pounds of adventure gear while it can work as a fire starter, window breaker, seatbelt cutter, screwdriver, hex wrench and more. Clip on the Wombat safety whistle-meets-vial to amp up your survival
preparedness. Strap a Kodiak paracord bracelet around your wrist and head out to explore knowing you have the tools to start a fire on hand. It even has fishing lines, a hook, and extra cord wrapped into its rugged design. So no matter where you roam, you’re ready for what might come your way. Read More Read Less
