Easy to use, works like a charm

I bought this for my son, who had used a sous vide before, when he shared an apartment with a friend who had one. He really likes the ease of use of this one, which can go into any pot. Highly recommend it. Good value.

I bought the Sous Vide machine 3 weeks ago, after years of procrastination. The 20% off promotion pushed me over the edge. Now, I'm sorry that I didn't order sooner, even at full price. This is one fantastic product.

Excellent No-Frills Sous Vide

I'm a beginner at sous vide. While I didn't want to spend a whole lot on my first circulator, I wanted something that looked good and worked well to give me confidence in this new (to me) way of cooking. The Gizmo fits the bill perfectly. It is attractive and sturdy. I love the clip on the back that holds it to the water bath container. The temperature gauge is proving to be accurate. I think the control sequence could be a bit more intuitive, but I'll keep the instructions close by until I'm more experienced. All in all, a quality product, well priced, and a wonderful gift option for a good cook.

Great product creates tender, moist meats

The Kitchen Gizmo Sous Vide wand is simple to operate and produces great results. You don't need special containers, just a big pot and some large freezer bags. I suggest you watch a few YouTube videos to supplement the directions. There are a ton of videos to walk you through the process and also teach you how to finish meats to add a a great crust. The only slightly unhelpful aspect from Kitchen Gizmo is the way the directions are printed: red lettering on black paper. Very hard to read. I've used my wand multiple times. Do it once and you'll find there's nothing difficult or mysterious. I use my fire starter chimney filled with charcoal and topped with a grill rack to finish off my meats to add a wonderful crust. Takes less than a minute over super hot coals to create a great grilled finish! I've enjoyed the product and the price point is great making this purchase a good value.

Works as promised

I like the sous vide. I've only used it a few times. I see great potential with this product. My only complaint- the instructions were hard to read on black paper. A step was missing in the start feature. The on/off button needs to be pressed before scrolling to temperature. Kitchen Gizmo customer service needs help.

Works great!

I was dubious, but I have used this device many times in the short time that I've owned it with immediate and unfailing success. It takes time and a little extra work to get the food bagged right so that it remains completely submerged in the water bath, but the results are worth it. I'm retired so the extra preparation and cooking time doesn't bother me and not having to worry about proper doneness and whether the food will be as moist and tender as it can be is an absolute boon.

If it holds up, and I have no reason to think it won't, this cooking device will be a great buy.

Bought this as a gift

I bought this as a gift the recipiant says that it is amazing. I do get to eat everything that is made from it and we have tried pork, steak, chicken, and fish and everything is amazing. All items made from it are so silly soft in the middle and just break algae in your mouth. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys to cook.
