Works well as expected. Better than gator bags.

Fabulous!

7/25/2018 by Melanie

I bought five of these and put them in my five largest pots--and I only have to water my plants every two or three days! I live in South Carolina where it is very hot and sunny and my Oyas are worth more than their price.

Why didn't I think of this?

6/16/2017 by Mel

The GrowOya is such a great idea and it works well. I purchased the smallest one and embedded the container in a hanging basket on my front porch that gets a lot of sunshine and tends to dry out between morning and evening watering. The urn works extremely well and helps keep the plant evenly moist. This is an incredibly useful product, especially if you're going away for the weekend. I love it and will be buying more.

Neat, neat, neat!

Living in Houston, Tx, we will have our dry spells and this simple watering aid is the bomb! I have two containers on my patio, one with a tomato plant and one with a flowering bush.

I admit, I am not the most "faithful" waterer, but the GrowOya makes me look like a Master Gardener. Every time I do water, I fill them up and my plants stay perfectly watered. So when our really dry spells do hit, I know my plants will stay perfectly hydrated. Great idea!

Love this

I purchased four of the small Oyas for four planter pots I have that are each 2 feet wide. Last year I struggled to keep up with watering my plants since we live on the lake and the wind/sun combo is rough on my plants. I just planted these oyas last week, filled them with water, and am fascinated with how they work. It seems like it is keeping my plants hydrated-- time will tell!

plant life saver

Summer sun is unforgiving this time of year and the Oya is giving plants a fighting chance, as well as allowing for a few days away from home

Great product

The product was able to let me have water go into the plants methodically instead of the soil being dry or too wet

Best Garden Gadget

9/7/2015 by Kara

I bought two of these for a 3 foot by 6 foot raised bed where I planted my tomatoes this year. My tomatoes have been thriving all summer. Where my other plants that rely on my watering regularly look like they are wilting in the summer heat, my tomatoes have been lush, healthy, and never look wilted in the summer sun. I've also had the best yield this year. I will be purchasing more Oya's for my other raised beds next year!

Wonderful addition to the garden. The herbs love the attention.

HIDDEN LOVE

6/2/2015 by John

My azalea has developed a love affair with the Oya - she is wrapping her roots around his whole body and sucking up to him.
Any way they are sharing the whiskey barrel by my front door.
They are happy.
I am happy.

The GrowOya Story

GrowOya - Deep Root Watering Vessel

Dig This

It can be easy to forget to water plants and we often waste water when we do. GrowOya solves both issues, elegantly.

This terracotta watering system simplifies—and improves—the process of caring for your plants. Simply dig the Oya into the soil (with the spout exposed) and fill it up every few days. Boom . . . you’re done. The Oya and your plants work together to do the rest.

The Oya’s porous terracotta material releases water slowly near the roots, where it's needed. This method saves a LOT of water (up to 70%) because it reduces runoff and evaporation. Put one or more pots in places that the
hose or sprinklers can’t reach. Or use them anywhere and everywhere for effective, efficient watering.

Founder Josh McWilliams wanted to water his rooftop garden sustainably. So when he discovered the “olla” (pronounced ‘oya’), an ancient way of gardening with terracotta pots, he saw a chance to change the way people care for their gardens today. Fellow Founders Kenny Torrance and Brant Cheetham joined and GrowOya was born.

With the time-honored wisdom of the Oya, you’ll save time, save water, and grow happier plants.
