Nice quality... easy to learn...

We ordered this game knowing that all three of our daughters and their respective young men would be hanging around at Christmas time this year and we played it constantly! Perfect design, even the free app for iPhones helped us keep score, etc. Highly recommend!

I ordered this game for me and my eight year old grandson to play when he comes over. One sunny day we carried it out onto the yard for a try. I was surprised by its simplicity and how much fun it was to play. No reading directions for an hour. And, my grandson loved it as much as I did. Makes for great fun and great memories.

I sent this to my grandson because I wanted a game that could
go with them camping, the beach or just play in the yard. Thought the older boys would really enjoy. Turns out my 6 year old can't get enough of it. Loves it! So do his brothers.

Very fun

Fun game to play with family & friends!

One of our favorite outdoor games...most any age can play on most any surface - we've even used it on concrete, though the pieces do take a good beating. It is so unique that people get interested in it very quickly. A great way to get the family interacting!

So fun! You need to play on short grass though as they don't stand up in the longer grass that the picture shows.

More Fun Than Cornhole

7/10/2017 by Matthew Bowen

I married a Finn last year and in February, I moved to Finland from Maryland in the United States. When the weather started getting nice here, we started spending the weekends at the family summer cottage (kesämökki). One day, about a month ago, my wife taught me how to play Mölkky and I instantly fell in love with it. I remembered seeing it The Grommet before, but hadn't really paid attention when I first came across it. Mölkky is kind of like yard bowling, horseshoes, and cornhole, but more fun than all. I knew my family would enjoy this for 4th of July, so I ordered it and had it sent to my parents' house in Maryland. I wasn't originally going to be in the States for the Fourth this year, but sadly my grandfather passed away a week before and my wife and I ended up flying over to attend the funeral. We stayed for the holiday and introduced the rest of the family to the game. It turned out to be a big hit with everyone and several family members were asking where they could get their own Mölkky. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys yard games.

The Mölkky Story

Mölkky - Outdoor Throwing Game

Toss & Tumble

Mölkky is an outdoor skittles game first created in Finland. Not exactly the sort of place you’d expect a picnic/barbeque game to originate, but it’s been a hit in Europe for close to 20 years. And for good reason: it’s easy to learn and play, and can be set up anywhere the twelve wooden pins can stand.

The goal is to get exactly 50 points by knocking down pins numbered one through 12. The scoring is simple, but also slyly strategic: knock down multiple pins and you get one point per pin. Knock down just one pin, though, and you get points equal to the pin’s number. Go over 50 and you get
knocked down . . . back to 25 points.

After a player’s turn, the pins are reset in the spots where they land. The “board” is constantly changing and no two turns are the same.

This game is a handsome, well-crafted one, too. The pins, the Mölkky skittle (throwing pin), and the traveling case are all made of Finnish wood responsibly sourced from sustainable forests. No chemicals are used in production.

When you’re done playing, simply wipe off mud and scuffs with a damp rag and Mölkky is looking sharp for next time. It’s fun from start to . . . Finnish.
