This is for my friend's birthday in November...I hope I can hold off using it myself until then. Beautiful and arrived quickly, thank you.

Love them!

I have 2 of these and absolutely love them. Also use them for herb/oil dipping dishes. I even have 2 small plate stands to keep them on display when not in use.

works great

I have grated both garlic and ginger so far. both grated quickly and nicely . The brush is a necessity for getting every last bit from the grater.

Valuable kitchen tool

I’ve checking this grater out for a long time. I’m glad I finally purchased it because it really does ease the garlic grating chore. And it’s pretty in my kitchen.

Grate Plate

The grate plate is very convenient for my many uses. I would normally grate my garlic because I don't like big pieces. This works out great.

Good Buy

I bought this as a gift for my daughter, but haven't given it to her yet. But, I can say it is very well made. It was packed very well and I received it within 10 days of ordering. I fully believe she'll love it. I bought the blue one. I'm so pleased with the color and design and I can see it will function as stated.

Fun, useful kitchen gadget / accessory

I love the ceramic look and the vibrant color. And the grating plate works well! Guests are drawn to the little plate and will ask to try the grater - "Tom Sawyer" approach to help in the kitchen.

Don't use much garlic

The Grate Plate Story

The Grate Plate | Handmade Ceramic Grating Plate

Ceramic Grater

Deborah and Hillary Murphy spent a year fine-tuning their ceramic graters before bringing them to local farmers markets to see how folks would respond. Their beautifully handcrafted dishes were such a hit that The Grate Plate has grown and found fans beyond the Murphys' home base of Portland, Oregon.

Portland is where the mother-daughter team makes each brightly hued ceramic plate dotted with unique graters that won’t wear down over time and are gentler than metal. (Your fingertips will thank you.) Made with garlic in mind, The Grate Plate does the grating job for hard cheeses, ginger, nutmeg,
peppers, and it can even zest citrus. We like the idea of using one to prep and serve a quick garlic dipping oil for bread.

The presentation-worthy plate combines functionality and a polished finish, which also makes it a perfect gift for hosts, home cooks, or anyone who appreciates beautifully made and useful things.
