Not the best alarm for safety

4/13/2019 by Helene

Purchased because of descriptive detail. This is NOT LOUD enough to ward off danger. I was very disappointed with this product. Not worth the money. I will keep searching for a better product.

Less than impressed

Although alarm sounds loud inside a building, it is quite less effective outside. I thought it would be much louder - can’t see how this would scare off anyone. Also to note, they REQUIRE you to register it w/in 30 days of purchase for the warranty (or no warranty). What’s up with that??!
One more negative - user can not change out the battery, so once it stops working (they say battery life is about 1 year), then you would need to buy another one.

Not loud enough!

I took the device outside and set it off. On a deserted street on a dark night, I would want something a little more startling to scare off a possible attacker. Returned the device.

Sound is so low it wouldn't alarm anyone that wasn't close to you

I purchased 3 of these for gifts. When we tried it to test the sound we were all disappointed. It didn't bother anyone's ear and realized we all could scream louder then the sound coming out of the device. Even our 78 year old grandmother could yell louder then this.

Bird chirp

11/26/2018 by Elizabeth

I’ve heard birds chirp louder than this. Definitely not going to attract attention or deter a criminal.
Pull pin gets stuck and will be ripped out of your hand before you can pull it!
I’m returning 2 of them.

Doesn't frighten my Min Pins

10/28/2018 by WILLIAM

I was excited about my wife not having to carry a loaded gun it the car, be and it matched her iPhone.

Knowing a bit about high frequency battlefield disablement, I was enthusiastic about a non-lethal self-defense system.

Taking it outside, as to not deafen anyone, I pulled the pin, did not awake my dogs.

That said, I am returning it, it wouldn't scarea squirrel.

Thank you

Great security alarm

Not as advertised

10/18/2018 by Kim

I took this thing outside to pull the pin because it’s advertised as loud as a plane taking off. I pulled pin out expecting to plug my ears and it wasn’t loud. I could talk normal to my daughter while it was sounding off and she could hear me. Don’t recommend

I was expecting better

The alarm is not loud at all. I bought several as stocking stuffers for family members. It didn’t come with any instructions other than pull the pin. In the cover picture, it Is not loud. What am I doing wrong?

I was hoping to purchase quite a few of these as stocking stuffers for my friends for Christmas, but after receiving my own, I changed my mind. To operate the alarm you have to pull the plug from the base. This connection is so tight that I have to struggle to get it dislodged. In an emergency, I would be in big trouble before I could get this to work.

Sound The Alarm

Feel and stay safer with a keyring alarm that looks unassuming but packs a powerful 130-decibel alert.

Pull the top to activate an attention-drawing sound that is as loud as a jet taking off or a jackhammer in action. Trust us, it is ear-splitting. The alarm is reusable—just pop the pin back to stop the sound.

Maker Alice Su modeled the low-key design on a traditional key fob so it can be attached to a keychain, bag, or worn on a lanyard. It’s TSA-friendly too.

The alarm can do the job of warding off unwanted attention and works as a call for help as well. It is handy in so many situations for
so many types of people—nighttime runners and commuters, campers, students, elderly folks—that we couldn’t think of anyone who wouldn’t benefit from this small, but powerful alarm. Read More Read Less
