only removes dust

12/16/2014 by Bill

I tried this on both my iPad and on my laptop's touch screen. Both were fairly smudged from fingerprints.
This didn't work very well on either one. It clearly didn't do much if anything to the fingerprints, although it looked like it picked up the dust (dust on the roller afterward).

If your issue is dust or (perhaps) light smudges, this might be a good purchase.

If you have heavy smudges on your screens, look elsewhere.

Didn't meet my expectations

My high hopes for this product were dashed when I tried it and discovered that although it readily removed dust and other particles, it did nothing for any greasy or oily residue (like from fingers) except smear it around. That's not what I had in mind, and I plan to return it and try one of the other Grommet products for cleaning my iPhone.

Didn't work for me

I ordered this for myself and for a gift. I tried mine on my Nook and on two different computer screens, and it made no noticeable difference on any of them. I've returned the products.

I was hoping this would work as well as advertised but unfortunely it does not. I thought it would be a great portable assessory . But it does not begin to remove all fingerprints and marks no matter how many times you roll it , nor does the pressure you roll it with make any difference. Grat idea that just doesn't work.

Bought 3, returned 2

I was excited about a tool for my own use and Christmas ideas. When I tried mine, I found the only thing it MIGHT remove was dog or cat hair. Smudges and fingerprints remained totally in place.

This iRoller is a did nothing for the screens on my lap top or my ipad, or my car. I was so excited about this item that I bought two of them. It was definitely not worth it...sorry I spent the money!

I purchased the roller to clean the touchscreen in my Tesla. It does not remove the fingerprints. Very disappointing

Wouldn't buy again

Just didn't work for me on phone or computer screen. Left screen with roller marks and tacky. Will stick to using lens cleaner and a cloth. At least it wasn't an expensive mistake

It works to a point but leaves a trace of smear on the screen, which must be buffed out with a microfiber cloth.

Not happy

I was not happy with this product. Over priced for what it does.

The iRoller Story

iRoller - Touchscreen Cleaner

Clear View

Keep your touchscreens clean with the iRoller—a compact, reusable way to lift away fingerprints and dust without sprays or cloths. A few gentle swipes with the sticky surface, and your touchscreen will be smudge free.

The iRoller’s sticky material was originally invented by plastic surgeon Dr. Stanley Taub for organizing operating instruments. He realized that it had other uses, like cleaning oil and debris from touchscreens.

Because you can use it over and over again, the iRoller is more economical than disposable, pre-moistened wipes. It’s easier to manage than bottles of liquid cleaner,
too. Made to fit in your backpack, purse, or glove box, the retractable cover protects the sticky surface when you store it.

To clean your iRoller, just run the roller under tap water and air dry or gently blot with a lint-free cloth. Your iRoller will be ready and waiting for the next round of touchscreen cleanup.
