Love Them

I ABSOLUTELY Love these dishes. They were a gift - which makes them even more special, but even my husband finds them useful with his diabetes.

Thank you Livliga!

Ilove these plates, they are so helpful in my daily diet. I like that if you put them on the microwave they do not get to hot to grab hold of.

eating pretty

very attractive way to measure and eat, while looking like everyone else not different, no diet look here. These work very well with the portion measuring spoons.

Good idea, but...

The problem is that the shape printed on the plate assumes a nicely rounded portion and most food does not lend itself to that. The cup and bowl are very useful and so are the measuring scoops they make. My best bet is just using smaller plates.

Love the pieces! These will help me tremendously in determining portions ... and eventually ... help me cut back on my intake ... and result in weight loss ... in the slow smart way!

Portion Control Dinnerware

5/26/2015 by Lylah G

I was disappointed that the dishes were so large and the cups were so much smaller than the mugs I usually use for coffee. I thought since we were going for smaller portions the plates would be smaller thereby the portions would seem ample, instead the plate is large and the correct size portions seem so small on the plate. I would not buy again.

The Livliga Story

Livliga - Portion Control Dinnerware

Easy Moderation

Livliga dinnerware is like a template for healthy eating—a simple, practical way to control portions and still feel satisfied.

Founder Sheila Kemper Dietrich’s family had struggled with their weight for years. As the former executive director of Denver’s American Heart Association, she knew how important it was to stop super-sizing and start right-sizing their meals.

Sheila designed portion control plates to guide them. The plates are smaller than the average dinnerware sold today (which has gotten bigger and bigger over the decades). The dinnerware patterns are actually shapes that show the
right portion sizes for each food group—like grains, proteins, and veggies. And the wide rim frames the food to make it look like your plate is full. Your eye, your brain, and your stomach are satisfied you’re getting enough to eat.

Sheila also designed stainless steel portion-control serving spoons. The long handles keep food off your hands while serving up the right amount of food for Livliga’s plates. And when you’re done dishing up, the handles have clever zigzags that rest on the serving bowl.

Sheila’s first test subjects for Livliga? Herself, her husband, and their daughter. Together they lost over 100 lbs, just by eating proper portions.
