Ingenious device for capturing and releasing insects to get them out of the house without killing them!

Insect relocation is a breeze. A win-win for all involved.

I use this all the time!

This product is especially good when you're pretty sure that beetle is a stink bug, and you don't want to anger it.
However, the main culprits are spiders, and those are a little trickier, since they're fast and like to hide in corners.
This grabber works best when you can approach the critter straight on. I even managed to grab a fly out of the air once.
However, if the critter is in a corner, way up over your head, or about to run behind your computer, you might have to break out a more old-school method.

Haven't used it yet

Darn spiders are hiding from me ever since I got this, so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'm thinking I might forget I have it by the time I finally have a need for it.

Buying replacement

I really love this and it works great. I'm sorry to report that the plastic handle is brittle and I broke it right away trying to hang it up. Then it wouldn't hang up properly and broke apart from a short fall. I'll be more careful with the next one.
We keep bees and often have to remove them from the house, not to mention the spiders.

love this

This is the 2nd one I have purchased so obviously I like it. It works very well in most cases as long as the bristles are kept in good condition. Keeping the protective cup over the bristles when not in use is very important in keeping the bristles functioning optimally.

better with non flying critters

The first time I tried to catch a Katydid she flew away. The next time I opened the critter catcher a few feet away and was able to catch her. Spiders are probably easier

Looks good!

Happily, I haven't had an occasion to use it but it sure works just like you expect (I tried it on the plastic toy spider a few times). That "toy" creeped me out.

This looks like a Great product

8/3/2016 by Lyn

I was ready to buy 2 of these great items until I found how much it cost to ship it; $15.35. That's as much as the grabbers. Sorry, I just can't justify the cost to get delivered.

The My Critter Catcher Story

The tool for spider lovers and haters alike.

A safe distance

Whether you’re deathly afraid of crawly insects or an avid believer in their right to live, this handheld bug catcher is for you.

Squeeze the handle to open the bristles, release to grasp the bug, and squeeze again to free it—somewhere outside, we presume. The firm outer bristles help grip larger bugs (beetles, spiders, and even scorpions). Inside, the soft nylon bristles keep even smaller bugs safe.

With the long handle, you’ll enjoy a comfortable 25-inch distance from the critter. And that length also lends some leeway to grab insects in hard-to-reach spots.

Tony Allen designed My Critter
Catcher for his afraid-of-spiders son. Because spiders are helpful predators who get rid of other pests, Tony wanted a non-harmful way to catch and release.

This invention lets you declare “long live the bugs” and “keep that thing away from me” in one combined sweep.
