Poor Quality

4/5/2014 by Dawn

Poor quality finish on the metal that is peeling off the back. The magnet is not strong enough to keep each side from flying off if you adjust what you have it on. Can't wear it as the description intends it to be worn. Would not recommend.

I was so excited to have magnetic buttons for a sweater that I made.

I was so excited to have magnetic buttons for a sweater that I made. The magnetic buttons do not hold on this sweater. They keep falling off although the magnets do seem pretty strong.

Poor design

Too heavy and magnet not strong enough.

Great idea that needs more work

Magnets don't stay together.

12/26/2013 by Kathleen

I thought this was a GREAT idea and ordered one for myself and two more for presents. So disappointed. The magnets work on scarves as long as you don't move around too much. They don't work at all on clothes. I wanted to use them to hold the front of a buttonless sweater together. The magnets move and eventually fall off.

One out of five stars!

Great idea, but the magnets are not very strong. I purchased magnetic eyeglass holders that attach to your clothing (seen on Shark Tank) and the magnets on that item are so much stronger.

Not worth it

The magnet came apart with barely a tug. Didn't cost much. But it wasn't even worth what I paid.

Disappointing

I was disappointed with the size as I thought it needed to be a little bigger and it doesn't hold through 5 layers of even very thin cloth! Pearl one looks different fron the picture and so does the black. The gold wasn't offered when I first ordered it.

The picture show it used through a big weave sweater and mine kept coming apart even trying to hold together a thin weave vest.

Very disappointing

The first time I wore these to hold a light weight sweater closed, one side popped off. I was in the laundry room and could never find it. I'm guessing that it's magnetically connected somewhere under the washing machine. It was a total waste of money.

Didn't work.

It's pretty, looked good on my sweater and accomplished my objective of keeping it closed. However, the moment my dog jumped up on me it was undone. Wish I had saved my money and just let my sweater flap open.

magnet not powerful enough to really work

11/24/2013 by Eileen

Looked very nice when it arrived, just what I had hoped for. Wore it once, for about 2 hours. Used it to "button" a very thin cardigan sweater. When I got out to go grocery shopping, noticed it was not there. Found on half on the floor, one half stuck to the metal on the side of the car. Was psyched I found it. Clasped it to itself on either side of the thin sweater. When I got back to the car... it was gone again, this time for real.
The magnet, at least on the one I got, is not powerful enough to actually hold it together. I am not sure how think the "5 layers of think cotton" mentioned in the ad are, but I am thinking nanometers, because it was really inadequate for the purpose I bought it for.

The MagneButton Story

MagneButton - Magnet Closure Accessory

Get It Together

Multiple layers of fabric are no match for MagneButton, a clever problem-solver that lets you style and fasten your clothes without damaging them. If you have a scarf that won’t stay put, a cardigan that keeps opening up, or a plain hat in need of some flair, the double-sided MagneButton is the perfect no-holes solution.

The creator, shop owner Christy Grierson, came up with the idea after listening to her customers complain about cardigans without closures. What they needed was a safety pin—but who wants to ruin a great look with a safety pin? Christy started tinkering with heavy-duty magnets
and adding embellishments to make them more fashionable. Her designs were an instant hit, ranging from classic, subtle patterns to more expressive, bold prints.

Christy’s simple yet hardworking accessory can help you pull your outfit together. . . literally.
