Calming

10/7/2019 by Jo Ann

I really love these buoy bells. I purchased one for myself and two more for friends. The sound is very calming and not annoying to neighbors at all because it only chimes occasionally with the wind. Beautiful sound. I choose the Puget Sound for all the bells. It is a wonderful gift and for one of the friends I choose the bell instead of sending flowers when he lost his brother. He was very touched by the gesture because he enjoys his backyard.

Love the sound of the bell

10/6/2019 by Mike

I received the bell well packaged and without a scratch. The sound is amazing and deep unlike the tinkle of cheap wind chimes. I was concerned that the sound would be too loud but was pleasantly surprised by the long lasting tone at a volume that isn't overly intrusive.

Love My buoy bell

10/4/2019 by Theresa

I ordered the Outer Banks bells for me and my daughter. Have always loved chimes and this one has the mellow sound of the ocean buoys. And I love cardinals(state bird of NC where I was born)
These came packaged well and my husband welded a special pole to let the wind get to it better

Ring my Bell!

This buoy bell was a gift to my sister for her birthday. Although I haven't seen it myself, she told me how much she enjoyed it and the deep resonating tone of the bell as it sways in the wind on her porch!

I absolutely love my buoy bells!

I am so happy with my latest purchase of the buoy bells! The sounds take me to a peaceful, quiet place full of memories of living in Rhode Island and my visits to Maine. This is a wonderful addition to a back patio!

Buoy Bells

8/22/2019 by Karen

I have purchased 3 bouy bells and love them. Each has a different, southing sound. My only disappointment is the limited selection of charms. When I purchased my first 2 bells, there was a large selection of charms I chose a horse and cat. These and several others were not available for my most recent purchase. My favorite bell is the Marbelhead.

The North Country Wind Bells Story

North Country Wind Bells | Buoy Wind Bells

Sound Of The Sea

Jim Davidson was a lobsterman in Maine for years. Buoy bells chiming as he hauled in his lobster traps was a favorite sound—equal parts peaceful and melodic, and an indicator that he was safely close to harbor.

Jim was so enamored with the sound that he and his wife, May, began creating their own wind chimes to capture it. Their North Country Wind Bells are made at home in Maine and capture the tones of over 20 coastal and harbor bells.

Each location has a distinctive sound—from Bar Harbor to San Francisco—that Jim and May have carefully recreated. They started by recording as many local bells
as they could. They then fine-tuned their own bells by ear until the sound was just right.

The bells and windcatchers are crafted from recycled steel by many of the locals in the Davidsons' small town, and should last for at least 20 years of coastal-inspired sound.
