I have a lot of chimes on my front porch and when I saw yours I knew I had to have one. I got it and love it and ordered one for my good friend and neighbor. Also I will be ordering one for my Daughter for Christmas.

Thank You so very much. Linda L. Solano

Perfect Chime

I purchased this for my husband, a former Navy 2nd Class Diver, and we are really enjoying it. It was a birthday gift and the nautical style is perfect; the sound definitely reminds us of an ocean buoy. The product is exactly as described and high quality. We like hearing it, but it is not annoying :)

Work Of Art

I just received the North Country Wind Bell in Black with a Red Cardinal. It is very well made and a work of art. I love being able to look out the kitchen window and see the little red cardinal swinging from it's perch. The contrasting colors make the bird look like it's suspended in mid-air. The sound is lovely, and I can't wait until the wind kicks up to hear the chime really come alive. I might purchase another one as a gift to my cousin. It would make a wonderful gift!

A beautiful piece!

I had the large red wind bells with a Cardinal accessory sent as a gift to Island Park, Idaho. The recipients sent me a video showing the Wind Bell hung and chiming. It looked great and they were well pleased.

Lovely Winter Decoration

Excellent quality. Great sound but gentle. Perfect weight so movement but not constant. I selected the tree with snowflake for an all winter enjoyment.

So beautiful but the sound

I absolutely love this wind bell. I went through all of the sounds and landed on the tree with a cardinal for the holidays. Mine makes more of a 'clank' than a pleasing resonant sound. It is lovely to look at though.

love them but..

I actually got 3 of these one for our summer cottage one as a gift and one for home. The one for home is the fir but I feel the wind catcher charms could have been made larger as the fir is much heavier and longer. I don't feel they are large enough to make the chime sound when the wind blows. They are all very well made and I did get the smaller red ones and the Portsmouth sound is spot on.

The North Country Wind Bells Story

North Country Wind Bells | Buoy Wind Bells

Sound Of The Sea

Jim Davidson was a lobsterman in Maine for years. Buoy bells chiming as he hauled in his lobster traps was a favorite sound—equal parts peaceful and melodic, and an indicator that he was safely close to harbor.

Jim was so enamored with the sound that he and his wife, May, began creating their own wind chimes to capture it. Their North Country Wind Bells are made at home in Maine and capture the tones of over 20 coastal and harbor bells.

Each location has a distinctive sound—from Bar Harbor to San Francisco—that Jim and May have carefully recreated. They started by recording as many local bells
as they could. They then fine-tuned their own bells by ear until the sound was just right.

The bells and windcatchers are crafted from recycled steel by many of the locals in the Davidsons' small town, and should last for at least 20 years of coastal-inspired sound.
