It works well, but can't hold many tags

5/20/2018 by Jeanmarie

This has really cut down on the jingling! It holds three thin tags (rabies, license, and Best Friends ID), but can't accommodate my dog's actual name tag, which is thicker than average (custom tag from Fetching Tags), so I have to clip that on separately. But it still reduces the noise a lot. Yay! I also like that it came it hot pink, so my all-black dog is always color-coordinated. ;-)

Love the screw cover to make sure the tag is secure

The freeze tag works like a charm. I love the side cover that flips over the scene to make sure it stays secure.

DIFFICULT

6/4/2017 by PAT

THE TAB SEEMS TO BE TOO SHORT!? I HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE OPENING IT. ONCE I DID GET IT OPEN I PUT A LARGER PEN IN THE HOLE TO STRETCH IT. I REMOVED THE SCREW, PUT THE TAGS ON,REPLACED THE SCREW & THEN TRIED TO GET THE TAB BACK ON THE SCREW. I PUT THE TAB ON THE SCREW THEN TURNED IT FACE DOWN ON A TABLE THEN EXERTED PRESSURE DOWNWARD TO FASTEN IT. THE CONCEPT IS GREAT & I LOVE NOT HEARING THE TAGS RATTLE BUT I THINK THIS NEEDS TO BE REFINED...

So far, great.

I purchased two tag silencers. One for my five year old dog and another for our six month old puppy. While the five year old leaves his alone, the puppy is very flexible and really likes to chew on hers. As a Pomeranian, most things built for ordinary dogs are within the chewing range of our puppy. We will see how long it lasts.

Great invention!

Works well and is easy to use, the only complaint I have is the the words, usually the dog's, at the top of the tag gets covered by the tab.

Works, quiet

I don't think this is an amazing device but it does what it says it will do: holds tags and keeps them from jingling.

Good product with slight design flaw

8/12/2016 by Serena

This is a good product, appears well made and does what i wanted-stops the jingling of my dog's tags. The only thing i would change is the plastic tab hangs down so far over the ID tag you cannot read anything on the dog tag if it is written on the top two lines of a tag. In the case of my dog i will have to get a new tag made as you cannot read the dog's name anymore. Other than that i like the product. It would also have been helpful if the website description had warned that the silencer would likely obscure part of your tags.

Silence is Golden

The jingly tags are no more and the FreezeTag Pet Tag Slinencer is the reason. No more waking up everytime our dog Mike wanders around at night. He can go about his business without being shushed everytime he moves.

Leaves the jingle to Rudolph

Takes the jingle out of the shake however still get a bit of noise when it hits the buckle of the collar. Quite an improvement with easy install.

The Playday Labs Story

Hey, Fluffy, lose that jingle.

Do Not Disturb

No matter how much we love our pets, the jingle of their tags can drive us crazy. FreezeTag is a pet tag silencer that’s practically indestructible, easy to use, and helps keep you sane.

Founder Jennie Posthumus was inspired to create FreezeTag by a tagless Great Dane wandering alongside the road. With no identifying info to go on, reuniting him with his family was much harder than it should have been. The ordeal led her to a realization—many people remove their pets’ tags because they’re noisy.

With help from industrial engineer Dan Blum, they created a clasp that holds up to four tags in
place without jingling. The Made in the USA design is waterproof, resists smells, and won’t catch on things like standard tag holders do.

Putting your pet’s tags in the FreezeTag holder is easy. Pull the rubber stopper off, then unscrew the nut. Add the tags and replace the nut snugly—tight enough to prevent jingle, but loose enough to fan the tags out. Hook it through your pet’s collar ring and replace the stopper.

Your pet is properly ID’d, which gives you peace of mind. And the tags are silenced, which gives you peace and quiet.
