Works differently than I expected

8/31/2016 by Mary

I actually have not put this on my dog's collar yet, because I was expecting it to kind of wrap around the tags, just as they hang from the rings they are on. But that is not how it works, the tags need to be taken off any rings or hooks they hang from so that the hole in the tag can be placed over a screw, have a knob/nut screwed on the end to keep them on the screw and the rubber "silencer is wrapped around the tags and over the knob to keep everything secure. I still think it is a very interesting and helpful idea. It just works differently than I expected.

Good Idea, but...

7/13/2016 by Susan D

I tried to put 3 tags on this and they did not fit to where the screw would close. One of my tags has an every so slightly raised edge so it did not work, even though it says it will hold 4 tags and I was only using 3. Apparently you need to have completely flat thin tags for this to work. I'll go get a new flat tag and hopefully that will solve the issue. It would have been nice/helpful if that was noted in the description though.

Doesn't stay attached

5/17/2019 by Shannon

It lasted for a couple weeks and then fell off, I found it and put it back on and the very next day came off again. Once it is loose it will not snap on and stay on any more.

Wonderful Yet Concern

It sounds like a wonderful idea. Yet, if your beloved pet gets lost outside, that pesty jingle may be exactly what help you find him/her. Just a thought from one who has lost very beloved pet!

Love it, however ...

8/8/2016 by Mary Jo

Within a week, my 2nd dog had pretty much destroyed the 1st dog's tagholder because she drags her around by the collar. A less-easily-destroyed plastic would be good.

I love the lack of jingling, & this would be a 5-star if it hadn't been so easily destroyed. I'm glad she lost it in the house, instead of the dog park!

Doesn't work for Microsoft Chip IDs

7/2/2016 by Nanci

Purchased 2 tag holders and changed out tags today. Unfortunately my Avid Microsoft chip tags don't fit. The hole in the tag is too small to fit on the shafts of the bolt/nut. Very disappointing. Great idea, but it makes me wonder if they tried out tags before manufacturing this item

Fell off now tags are lost.

6/16/2019 by Mitch

It does keep the tags silent but it fell off after a couple weeks and now all his tags are lost. I know I put it on correctly, so the rubber flap that slides over the nut must have slipped off. Please refund my money. Order 113551956

Disappointed

Very disappointed in this purchase. I cannot get it a part to put his tags on it. I am a senior citizen and I don't have money to waste.

The Playday Labs Story

Hey, Fluffy, lose that jingle.

Do Not Disturb

No matter how much we love our pets, the jingle of their tags can drive us crazy. FreezeTag is a pet tag silencer that’s practically indestructible, easy to use, and helps keep you sane.

Founder Jennie Posthumus was inspired to create FreezeTag by a tagless Great Dane wandering alongside the road. With no identifying info to go on, reuniting him with his family was much harder than it should have been. The ordeal led her to a realization—many people remove their pets’ tags because they’re noisy.

With help from industrial engineer Dan Blum, they created a clasp that holds up to four tags in
place without jingling. The Made in the USA design is waterproof, resists smells, and won’t catch on things like standard tag holders do.

Putting your pet’s tags in the FreezeTag holder is easy. Pull the rubber stopper off, then unscrew the nut. Add the tags and replace the nut snugly—tight enough to prevent jingle, but loose enough to fan the tags out. Hook it through your pet’s collar ring and replace the stopper.

Your pet is properly ID’d, which gives you peace of mind. And the tags are silenced, which gives you peace and quiet.
