Save your money

2/27/2017 by Joyce

I washed the carafe as I was putting it away I touched the top on the cupboard and it broke. I could not put the top back on the bottom so I do not know if it worked. Because it is not well constructed I would recommend you look for another means of saving your wine. Perhaps the glass carafe would be more durable.

So much for durable

I ordered this for my daughter-in-law for her birthday today. Got a message from her today that it arrived, but broken. Very disappointed. She said they were going to refund my credit card and now she has no gift from us. Very disappointed. She

Not happy

12/9/2015 by Dale

Sorry but disappointed in this purchase. Bought two of them and both leak at the top. Keeping one of the two because it leaks less than the other one and threw the other one away. I think if I were to purchase this again I would by the glass on instead.

Floating Seal not sealed!

2/5/2015 by Will

After only one time filling the carafe with red wine and leaving the carafe in the refrigerator for 6 days, my floating seal filled with wine. I can't find an opening in the floating seal but somehow it has siphoned the wine inside. I can't get the wine out so I won't use the carafe now as I feel the wine inside the floating seal will now spoil any other wine placed in the carafe.

I can not recommend this product.

Top fluted connection arrived broken

1/5/2015 by James

I purchased this version and the glass version for my wife for Christmas. Both arrived on time and in concept both are great. However, that only carries through in practice on the glass model.

This acrylic model appears to be made out of two pieces on the carafe and where the fluted section connects to the cylinder apparently has a very weak seal or "weld." Ours seemed to have a small leak upon first use when pouring out of one side. Upon examining the cause what was a small gap popped open and then entire fluted section almost popped off completely.

I have not contacted them for a warrantee claim yet but will be doing so shortly. I may increase the rating depending on how that turns our. I would also increase my rating if this model was a single molded piece that worked more like the glass model than with the locking top this one is supposed to have.

I may

The Savino Story

Savino - Wine Saver Carafe

Preserve & Serve

Let’s all raise our glass to Scott Tavenner, Founder of Savino, who finds ingenious ways to serve and preserve your favorite drinks.

His quest started with wanting to save the rest of an opened bottle of wine. After 15 years of research (that’s dedication), he developed the Savino Wine Carafe. This elegant glass cruet not only serves wine but keeps it exceptionally fresh, night after night, for up to a week after opening. A snuggly fitted floating seal protects the wine from oxidation, while a screw top prevents spillage.

Scott didn’t stop there, though. He went on to shake up cocktail making
with Shaker 33, which he calls “The Best Cocktail Shaker Since Prohibition.” The locking lid keeps your drink inside—secure enough to shake with one hand. When you’re ready to serve, the lid easily unlocks and you can adjust for larger holes to pour faster or smaller holes for better straining.

To Scott and his dedication to lifting spirits we say, “Cheers!"
