This is the second "Silent Pet Tag" I've purchased and it's all because the loop that connects to a metal ring (for fastening the tag to a dog's collar) is rubber and is easily torn!
Perhaps if the metal ring could be passed through the tag instead of above it, it would be more durable - but what do I know?! this is the last one I'm going to purchase, I do know that! I'll find another tag & silence it myself some way . . .

Not puppy-proof

Love the look of the tag, the amount of info that it can contain, and the speed with which it was delivered. Sadly, my puppy was not enchanted, and managed to contort his jaw enough to rip the tag the first hour that it was on his collar. Maybe I should have ordered the round tag instead of the bone-shaped one, which has little edges to grab, but the bottom line is that it can be torn by puppy teeth. I am bummed.

ok tag

The tag is fine. I wouldn't call $23 fine

This tag lasted less then a hour on one of the dogs. She chewed it right off and went after the other dogs tag. I think these tags are a good idea if you have a pet that doesn't chew new things.

Okay if you have multiple tags

Nice idea...

Works great but not quite sure about the quality

Received cute product in great shape. Worked as described without making any noise. However, 6 months after purchase, I noticed that the dog tag was hanging strangely and found the loop of the hole broken. Not quite sure if it’s worth the price and I question the quality.

Didn't work for me

These are by far the brightest and a very clever tag - I loved it.
My 6 month old puppy is an exception - the tag was a little to big and she was able to chew it right off her collar (and her collar was tight).

Great...if it's the only tag

I really do like the SiliDog. It's readable and durable and does indeed cut down on the noise. However, it really isn't suitable if you need to use it with other tags. Most tags (rabies, city registration) are the simple metal type with a hole at the top. The SiliDog has its own integrated hanging loop on the top, so it actually sits on the collar ring at a 90 degree angle to the other tags. So it just creates this jumble of tags if it's not the only one. I would love to see an option that has a hole instead of the hanging loop, so it lies flush with other tags.

Nice, but....

I purchased a Silidog tag for my dog one year ago. I loved that it was easy to read, quiet, and engraving would never wear off. But just this week the silicone loop on the tag broke and the tag fell off his collar, with no way to refasten it. In the future, maybe some reinforcement for the loop would make this an even better product.

A bit overpriced for its price and should be other fonts available.

The SiliDog Story

SiliDog - Silent Pet Tag

Having identification tags on your pet’s collar is always a good idea, but, boy, can they be noisy. SiliDog tags are durable, fade-proof, and best of all, silent.

When Founder Michael Lickstein adopted a rescue, the poor pooch had fleas and just couldn’t stop scratching. The incessant tag jingling kept Michael up all night, so he came up with a noise-free solution—silicone pet tags. These adorable 3-D IDs are flexible, tough, and jingle-free.

Even if your dog doesn’t scratch much, you’ve probably noticed how those metal tags clank against the water bowl and rattle during walks. That’s all in
the past.

Custom-engravable, SiliDog tags also have personality. The silicone shapes are fun and playful—which is appropriate for your furry best friend.
