NOT DURABLE

12/22/2017 by Peyton

Decided to bite the bullet and buy some nice dog tags for our two huskies. I loved the fact that they were silent, would not fade, and would not scratch. Our old tags were so scratched you could barely read them. I purchased them in November. Well here it is December and one has totally ripped from our dogs playing and the other has come off of her collar twice. TOTALLY not worth the money! Very disappointed.

Not very durable

Cats chewed the tags to pieces within one day. Company offered no replacement.

Don't like new design

8/22/2017 by connie

I purchased a Heart a year or 2 ago, and just purchased the Circle for my new dog. The old Heart shape has a small loop that is parallel to the tag itself, which lines it up with the other tags on the metal loop thing on her collar. The new Circle has a larger loop perpendicular to the tag, so it does not line up - it sits at a right angle to her other tags. If I use the metal ring, it hangs down much lower than the other tags. I can't use it. Looks like the Heart now has a perpendicular loop also.

Sili Product Con

We have a new Australian Labradoodle puppy. We picked him up 3 weeks ago, and we proudly attached his SiliDog tag that we had purchased several weeks earlier. In this SHORT 3 week period, the tag is disintegrating! The puppy's not chewing it. There's no way he could reach it.

This is a really "cute" idea for a tag, and it looked great on him for a week or so. Since then it is cracking, falling apart, and it has proven to be a $20 piece of junk! Very disappointing for us and for our puppy.

Sorry there's no ranking below 1, because this is a zero!

Last nearly 6 months

So disappointed. I read all the reviews about how these tags are not made to last. I ignored them and paid the $20 for a DOG TAG.

The silence is nice, but given the top loop broke off this week with under 6 months wear, I would never recommend due to the quality... what a shame. Buyer beware... and another shame is there isn't even a method provided to contract the independent seller to try to address the issue.

Silicone ring split after a few months

5/9/2017 by Ross

Ring tore after 4-5 months of light/regular use. No warranty is offered after 60 days, but it should last more longer than that. Was happy with the tag when it arrived, but would not recommend if you have to replace every few months.

Lasted 2 days

Great idea, poor execution. It was completely shredded by my dog in 2 days, and I have a 16 pound chihuahua mix. I'll stick with the metal ones and deal with the noise.

Ripped in half

It's cute and quiet but not for puppies. Our corgi pup made it his mission to attack this and while it was amusing to watch him he did finally catch the corner. Most of the info was still there so it survived until my husband was grabbing for his collar to put his leash on and caught the tag instead and that was the end of that. So not very durable. We just put the plastic tags (city license tag and micro chip tag) between the metal ones so the tags didn't jingle.

It lasted a week.

Apparently the plastic is not strong enough and it disappeared within a week. Not happy.

Terrible customer service and cheap looking product

1/24/2017 by Abby

I was very excited to buy a silidog tag for each of my dogs. However, when they arrived the information was slanted and the top of my street address was cut off on one of the tags. I tried emailing the company twice, messaging and emailing them through Facebook, and calling them, and still have not received a response after six weeks. Given the cost of the tags, I think they should exhibit better customer service and respond to customer inquiries and complaints. I would not recommend based on my own experience.

The SiliDog Story

SiliDog - Silent Pet Tag

Jingle-Free

Having identification tags on your pet’s collar is always a good idea, but, boy, can they be noisy. SiliDog tags are durable, fade-proof, and best of all, silent.

When Founder Michael Lickstein adopted a rescue, the poor pooch had fleas and just couldn’t stop scratching. The incessant tag jingling kept Michael up all night, so he came up with a noise-free solution—silicone pet tags. These adorable 3-D IDs are flexible, tough, and jingle-free.

Even if your dog doesn’t scratch much, you’ve probably noticed how those metal tags clank against the water bowl and rattle during walks. That’s all in
the past.

Custom-engravable, SiliDog tags also have personality. The silicone shapes are fun and playful—which is appropriate for your furry best friend.
