Work's well!

6/17/2017 by Karen

I bought 2 of these. One for our Great Dane and one for our small mutt. They work well. The reason I got these is because I don't like washing towels that I use on the dogs in my washing machine since they have all that hair. So I thought that since these were lighter than a towel I could wash by hand in a bucket. I haven't washed them yet so we'll see how it works out.

Works great

We use it to dry a rabbit who needs a daily bath. Its really gentle and absorbent, and cuts down on drying time.

So far so good

Due to lack of rain we've only used it once (which is why 4 stars, not 5 yet) but it worked great. Most importantly our dog loved how it felt and loves having it used even when she's not wet.

Great for mid to large dogs

This product works great! The only thing is that it probably was made for large dogs like the ones you see in the add. For my little Pomeranians, having the ends folded was not as useful. I'd rather have a rectangular cloth. Regardless, it works great! I read a review earlier that it does not dry easily. But it turned out it was not a problem at all for me. It dried very well - just like any other towels. Great product!

Pretty Good Product

I have a Goldie who looks very much like the dog in the photo. Living in Hawaii, in an area of O'ahu that gets a lot of rain, she often gets soaked. We had used old bath towels to give her a wipe but the Soggy Doggy is much more effective. She also loves the way it feels when we rub her. I like the idea that it doesn't stink after a week of use. (It does have kind of a strange odor which I assume will diminish after more use and washing.)

The Soggy Doggy Story

Soggy Doggy UpdateDec2016 V3

Paw Patrol

Tired of dirty, wet paw prints all over your house? Joanna Rein remembers feeling that way.

Despite stockpiling rags and towels by the backdoor, her four young kids could never tackle their dog Buddy’s wet paws when he came in from the yard. She wanted an easy way to clean and dry Buddy without creating a huge mess, and she was inspired by two things: the tiny chamois towel she saw a swimmer using at a swim meet, and the soft, dangling brushes in a car wash. It took some experimentation (and help from a patient tailor) before Joanna perfected a simple, practical solution for wet paws that even
Buddy likes using.

The secret is in the “noodles,” the textured strands of microfiber chenille that are woven together to create Joanna’s Soggy Doggy Doormat and Soggy Doggy Super Shammy. These shaggy textiles soak up water and trap dirt like a sponge. And they really work. The doormat can absorb 5 times more water than a regular cotton doormat, and it easily doubles as a crate pad, car mat or couch cover. The Super Shammy—which has hand pockets so you can get a firm grip when you’re toweling off your pooch—can hold up to seven times its weight in water.

Dogs love the softness, while we love the durability (just toss in the washer and dryer). It’s the best reward for a wet romp.
