Not Worth It

10/26/2016 by Deborah

I was excited when I saw this product. I purchased it a couple of weeks ago. It was great ... for the first TWO days. It has not worked since. It's going to be returned.

Seemed like a great idea since I'm constantly rummaging to find things in the dark interior of my bag. It did not perform as I expected. I thought opening your bag and exposing it to the light was what made it light up. Unfortunately I had to actually touch the handbag light for it to light up. Which meant it's just another thing I have to rummage for, before it can help me find anything else. I was disappointed and sent it back.

don't recommend

this light never worked the way they said it would. I had to tap it to get it to light. I would open my purse and the light would be on. It stopped working after about a month. I changed the batteries and it still doesn't work.

Sad it doesn't work.

I'm always hunting for things in my purse and thought this light might help. Sadly, it doesn't. Have to find the light and basically hold it before it goes on! Not helpful.

Light is good when it works, but often does not light.

Does not light unless touched

Doesn't light unless is actually touched. How is that helping?

Don't waste your $

Don't waste your money. Yes, it lights, but the light doesn't project enough to be useful. It sometimes lights up on its own (I can see the light through the purse) and I wager it will burn out before long. There's no way to change a battery, so when it dies, it's trash.

The SOI Story

SOI - Sensor Bag Light

Reach & See

Rummaging around blindly for something in your bag or backpack is a thing of the past. Say hello to SOI.

SOI is the world’s first automatic bag light. Put it in your purse, briefcase, or backpack and, when you reach in to grab something, SOI instantly lights up. This little disc has detection technology that recognizes when a hand is nearby and turns on. Then it automatically shuts off a few moments after you remove your hand.

Founders Christian Schech and Bastian Wetzel came up with the idea for SOI during a power failure at a folk festival. They looked around at all the women using cigarette
lighters or cell phones to look inside their bags, and knew there had to be a better way.

SOI weighs less than 1.5 ounces and is easy to transfer from bag to bag. It’s hands-free, energy efficient, and sustainably produced—nearly all of the materials used to make SOI are 100% recyclable. After 3,000 or so cycles, just replace the batteries.

Save yourself time and hassle, and let SOI make your life a little easier (and a little brighter).
