Diagonal ridges inside, thumbs up!!

Got it for my mom, and she’s very happy. I was looking for something not big but at the same time not to small. And this one got my attention because it’s not smooth from inside. The diagonal ridges help to grater the condiments beautifully and the cover it’s very useful too.

You need this !

This is the most useful and versatile tool in my kitchen.
I absolutely love it and am going to gift it to many of my lucky family this christmas.
It grinds without leaving anything but smooth uniform
consistent herbs . Garlic cloves ,ginger nutmeg ....everything.
The wooden Pestal is so much better than marble.

Works great

I bought it as a present for my granddaughter and her husband who love cooking with different spice combinations. They love it.

This was a gift so I really can’t review it. My daughter in law said she loved it!

Mortar and pestle

10/18/2018 by Yvonne

The mortar is great but the wood pestle is very rough I’m afraid of splintering. I only use the mortar. I wish it came with a different pestle one that wasn’t wood.

Functional and decorative

This looks lovely in my kitchen - I haven't had luck with grating ginger on the surface, but the mortal and pestle works well and it looks very nice.

The Suri Story

Spices from scratch. Here’s how.

Custom Blend

Imbued with Japanese influence, this porcelain mortar and pestle and ginger grater from Suri was thoughtfully created to handle prep jobs simply and efficiently.

Grind fresh spices, create custom condiment blends, or even mix up dishes like pesto, aioli, or tapenade.

The ceramic bowl, or suribachi, has an unglazed interior with diagonal ridges that help boost the grinding action. And the pestle, or surikogi, is made from peach wood that won’t damage the bowl while it makes quick work out of spices.

We liked that the grater is built into the lid, which helps do the job more easily—and with less
mess—than others we’ve tried. And a pouring spout and silicone ring on the bottom of the bowl help keep spills at bay. Elegant and packed with functionality, Suri streamlines prep work with ease. Read More Read Less
