A bust!

Sorry, but these did not work for me. It was hard to get the tape to roll ...... I hope others had better luck.

not pleased

I am dissappointed with this product. Perhaps some hints on the packaging as to the correct way to route the tape as I must be doing something incorrectly.

Not worth the money. I would not recommend.

I bought one of each size. Only 1 came in a package - the other two in a plastic ziploc sandwich baggie. No instructions on use. Difficult to use. I would not recommend this product.

Love the idea, but in reality, couldn't get it to work

LOVE the idea of these tape cutters, so ordered the 3 pack. Once arrived and tried to use, couldn't get it to work the way it easily does in the video; for a variety of reasons. No one else that tried to get it to work could, either. Returning. I'll deal with the frustration of normal tape end-finding and cutting (with my fingers, teeth or knife) than continue to be frustrated with trying to get these things to work, old the tape, cut the tape, etc. Darn. Was looking SO forward to using them, too.

The only Grommet product I've been disappointed about purchasing. Tried several times to make it work - even challenged some friends to show us where we went wrong and no one had success with it. Video and on-packaging instructions need major revamp after the company watches 1000 people try it who don't work for the company.

Poorly designed and overpriced

Here's the problem. The plastic tabs that guide tape through the Tadpole are too tiny and located too close to the cutter to be helpful. Clear packaging tape - especially the thin variety sold by OfficeMax and others - threads badly through the Tadpole and will have you cursing. Then, after a length of tape is cut, the remaining tape retracts on the roll and disappears. You're back to scraping with fingernails to find the beginning - and as you scrape, the tape shreds. The biggest tape manufacturer has the only dispenser I know of that works well. I'd recommend Tadpole's developer look at that little red dispenser and take a few notes.

waist of money

didn't come with much instructions. Tape does not come out as smoothly as the video shows it. Tried on 3 different kinds of tape. : ( Waist of money!

The Tadpole Story

Tadpole | Tape Cutter

How to Cut Tape

Ever struggled to find the end of a tape roll, or to cut off pieces? The Tadpole tape cutter will put an end to that.

This time (and sanity) saver gives you a clean, straight piece of tape every time. Its bungee-like cord attaches the blade to a roll, staying flush against the tape—like a less-bulky tape gun that’s even easier to use.

Lee Mallahan III created Tadpole after fighting to get straight pieces of painters tape for numerous glass door panes. Besides giving tape users everywhere a much-needed break, Tadpole gives back, too. It’s Made in the USA by partners from The Louisiana
Association for the Blind.

Tadpole is low profile enough to keep on any roll in your toolbox or kitchen drawer—electrical, duct, masking, painters. And when one roll is finished, Tadpole goes right onto the next. Now you can stop using scissors, a box cutter, a knife—or worse, your teeth—to get a piece of tape.
