Great Little Wallet

9/8/2015 by Chris

I really have enjoyed this wallet. I commute into work on a motorcycle so space is a premium. This fits the bill (pun intended). One note, if you go with "the doctor" version like I did, be prepared for the white stripe to get dingy. While I like the look, all black may be more practical. I have found that spraying Oxyclean on the elastic band takes out stains without damaging or discoloring the material.

Tiny is right

Ordered two of these--one for men and one for women. Only difference is the color. I managed to get 2 credit card sized cards and a single quartered dollar bill in one. They do disappear in the pocket. Works well if you are a minimalist!

Very small

My husband was not convinced to use it. It is very small, petite wallet. It is a struggle to get credit cards or license shoved into it.

A great idea

7/4/2016 by Janet

This is a great idea. My husband has been using hair bands as a money clip for years and it drives me crazy. I saw this and thought - perfect. And, it almost is. If there were another one a bit bigger to hold more cash - then I think it would be great. I realize this new generation carries very little cash but my husband is 70 and is used to carrying larger amounts. So a bigger money section would make this ideal!

I wanted a small wallet for my husband. This is almost too small, very hard to get more than a few credit cards in the elastic band, and he has about 10 cards- membership, etc. Jury is out. He is using it, hopefully the elastic will loosen slightly to make it easier to get things in and out. Should be perfect for someone with only one or two cards to keep up with.Just a little TOO small and tight, even the pouch is tight.

Cute item

It's cute and all, doesn't hold much cash, and definitely not worth that amount of money, like most everything else here, it's kind of novelty and over priced.

Good

Credit Card part works excellent, money part is a little hard to get cash in at first. Not good for a wad of money.

The TGT Story

What kind of wallet incites a crowd?

Slim Sensation

TGT elastic minimalist wallets had their start in a grocery store. Founder Jack Sutter noticed a friend using the rubber band from a bunch of broccoli as a wallet in an effort to reduce bulk in his jeans.

Jack, a designer, created TGT—an incredibly low-profile wallet that’s a (significant) sophisticated improvement. Each one is made by local artisans from durable elastic that’s sourced and custom designed on the East Coast. There is a tiny, attached pouch made of ultra-soft, premium leather.

Tuck your cards in the band, your bills in the pouch, and you’re ready to go. Since TGT has such a low
profile, you can fit it in a back or front pocket and still have room.

As a fun side note, the packaging also started in a grocery store; one of Jack’s designer friends created the first prototype out of a cereal box.

TGT wallets won’t wear out your clothes like a bulky wallet can. They proved so popular on Kickstarter they became its most successful campaign for a wallet to date. They perfectly reflect TGT’s mission to “keep it simple, keep it tight.”
