Looked good but not sure in practice

10/2/2018 by VTSilverback

We were looking forward to giving this a try. Followed all instructions but had no better results than doing things by hand - i.e. cracking shell all around under running water and peeling. These eggs were pretty tough to peel manually, worse than normal, but no better using the device so jury is out. We will try again with a new batch - both manually and with the peeler, and hopefully we just had a really tough batch and the peeler will make it easier with normal ones.

Doesn't work

9/14/2018 by Pamela

This is the first product I bought on the Grommet that I am regretting. I tried it a couple of times and used the tips with no luck. My egg either disintegrated or the peel just would not come off without taking half the egg with it. This works no better than any other method. I still think it comes down to not boiling very fresh eggs - the older eggs always peel better, but they feel just fine without some gadget.

The promise is to easily peel your egg, it just made a mess and harder to get all the little pieces off

Not good buy

Too many steps to use. Can more easily just crack and peel manually. If the egg has a thick membrane, this item does nothing to help it to easily peel.

No Success

7/25/2018 by Sharon

This was such a cool idea but I tried it many times without success. I tired shaking gently, vigorously etc.. It took me a while to try it out or I would have returned it. I think it depends on the age of the eggs and such- and under those circumstance hand pealing would be just as easy.

Waste of $

Either I have to completely remove the shell or the egg comes apart. So disappointed and I bought two, one as a gift.

The NEGG® Story

The Negg | Hardboiled Egg Peeler

Eggcellent Peeler

Peel an egg without pulling your hair out.

Cold water and some shaking is all it takes for this hardboiled egg peeler to work. It’s a Made in the USA kitchen hero that conquers a dreaded chore sleekly.

Maker Bonnie Tyler signed up to bring deviled eggs to a party and—after a failed attempt at peeling—showed up with a bag of potato chips instead. After some prototyping and research at her local library, she cracked a solution.

Bonnie combined the elements of industrial peeling (i.e., vibration, movement, and water) to create something small, portable, and easy to use at home. That’s how The
Negg was hatched. She even managed to get it manufactured in Connecticut, her own backyard.

Now you can de-shell your eggs with just cold water and a little bit of effort.
