What a waste of money!

While the concept works, there's no reason to spend close to $20 on yet another kitchen gadget. I get the same results in a cup of water while holding my hand over the top. I'm sure the same results could be obtained in ANY jar with a lid. Don't waste your money on this!

A waste of time & money.

Apparently, it only works for rock-hard eggs,

We don't cook our eggs to devil them; they're just past soft-boiled. The Negg isn't useful for the way we cook.

Not as advertised

I had high hopes for this product after watching the video where the shell practically slides off the egg by itself. But upon trying it at home my results were significantly different. I first tried it with some brown eggs and the results were terrible. No different than old-fashioned hand peeling. Lots of egg white lost. I did follow the instructions precisely, so I thought maybe it would work better with white eggs. Again, after boiling the eggs and putting them in ice water, I tried the Negg again. This time I peeled 3 eggs with the Negg and one by hand. Again, very disappointing results. While I noticed a very slight difference where the Negg allows water to get under the shell while you shake it, it's still doesn't come close to the video - still lots of ugly eggs when you're done. A total failure n my experience.

This just does not work

I have tried this several times since it arrived and not once has it worked as in the video. I followed instructions explicitely and have found this grommet to be a waste of money.

Not what it's made out to be

Personally, for the price I was very disappointed it the Negg. For every egg, you need to add water, shake egg, then dispose of shells and water, before starting all over again. It was messy, and something that I would not purchase again. The premise is good, just not what I expected. Sorry, but I don't like it.

expensive worthless product

This plastic container, absurdly over-prced, does not do what it claims... it simply breaks up the egg shell without making it easily removeable.

A waste of money.

Terrible Product

This product is terrible. It does not operate as advertised. It is not dishwasher safe (why would you ever make a product like this that you can't put into the dishwasher?). Don't waste your time or money on this product.

The NEGG® Story

The Negg | Hardboiled Egg Peeler

Eggcellent Peeler

Peel an egg without pulling your hair out.

Cold water and some shaking is all it takes for this hardboiled egg peeler to work. It’s a Made in the USA kitchen hero that conquers a dreaded chore sleekly.

Maker Bonnie Tyler signed up to bring deviled eggs to a party and—after a failed attempt at peeling—showed up with a bag of potato chips instead. After some prototyping and research at her local library, she cracked a solution.

Bonnie combined the elements of industrial peeling (i.e., vibration, movement, and water) to create something small, portable, and easy to use at home. That’s how The
Negg was hatched. She even managed to get it manufactured in Connecticut, her own backyard.

Now you can de-shell your eggs with just cold water and a little bit of effort.
