After much searching I ordered this as a gift for an artistic, creative friend. It is beautiful - she loved it. I may order one for myself. Great gift and product - I recommend it.

Wonderful surprise. you are never sure when you purchase one of a kind items like this, but my scarf is beautiful and better than I expected. I love the richness of the silk and they do such a wonderful job on the felting. I know this will last if I take care of it. It really makes me feel good to know that I am supporting these women and I love quality and unique items. Thank you so much for doing what you do with style. I'll be back many times.

Beautiful and toasty! Every tme I wear it I get compliments and send people to the grommet. I have given it as a gift (she loves it) and will buy more as gifts.

Pretty scarf

The scarf was very pretty. It was a gift and my friend and she really liked it. I wished it had been a little softer. The scarf was slightly stiff.
That is why I give it 4 stars. I would buy another one.

Too stiff

I love the colors of the scarf but I found it to be too stiff. I like a softer scarf.

The Red Sari Story

The Red Sari - Felted Vintage Sari Scarf

Silk + Wool

The beautiful fabric from second-hand saris fills the open markets in Kathmandu. The Red Sari gives this vintage silk cloth new meaning, turning it into felted sari scarves. It’s a stunning combination of design and texture, with colorful merino wool circles felted onto the fabric.

The Red Sari was founded by Julie West after she traveled to Nepal. She empowers local women with fair wage work, using their artisan skills to repurpose saris into one-of-a-kind accessories.

The company reinvests profits into hiring (and thereby helping) more and more women. Whether you give one of these meaningful
scarves as a gift or wear it yourself, it’s a lovely way to support a better way of life. Read More Read Less
