have been using this for about a month now,and seems to be working great. very easy to clean.it would be nice if a smaller version were made for vanity sinks,my household could use them there too....

works well, but...

The TubShroom works well but given the configuration of my drain it won't lie flat.

We like this hair catcher. My husband and I both have long hair, and this really snares it before it clogs up the shower drain. One slight issue: it plugs very quickly and the water starts backing up in the tub, so we need to remove the hair after every other shower. I like the way it sits up an inch or so above the drain, not like others we've tried that sit flush to the tub and are very difficult to pry out for cleaning. We like the bright green color, too, so it won't get thrown away by mistake.

Great idea!

I really like this product. The water takes a little bit longer to drain but it does catch all the hair and you can't see any of it till you take the TubShroom out.

Different sizes would be nice.

A little small for my tub drain but it has caught some hair. It works as a stopper though.

Ok, not perfect.

This device does help reduce the amount of hair from clogging your drain, but because it it raised, it sometimes gets dislodged when stepped on.

Drain Stopper

This would be a great product if it was made so that you could push it down to stop the water from going down the drain. Then pull it back up to let the water drain.

Alas, does not fit a shower

This is designed for use in a bath tub with a shower attachment, not for use in a stand-alone shower. Perhaps I should have read more carefully. I would certainly buy several if they fit showers, but we don't need ones for bath tubs.

Useful but hard to clean

Works well to stop the hair from going down the drain but hard to keep clean if both hair and soap scum

The TubShroom Story

The only ‘shroom you want in your bathroom.

Tub & Sink Drain Protectors

Elena Karnegie and her husband Serge were spurred to create TubShroom after one to many clogged drains. Take four humans and add two hairy pets—a German Shepherd and a shower-loving, super fluffy cat—and their house was prone to some serious clogs. Nothing they tried could catch all of the hair in their household, so they developed this easy-clean, catch-all plug. And the innovation didn't stop there. Elena and Serge wanted to help folks keep food and gunk out of their sinks drains as well, so they invented SinkShroom to help keep the water flowing all through the house.
