Didn’t allow water to drain

7/25/2018 by Michelle

I found that it didn’t allow the water to drain well enough so my shower water was always backing up.

Good idea but ...

Bought three and without modifications, none will work with any of the showers I intended to use them in. They are all in the donation box now.

Not the wonder I thought it would be.

I am actually returning the Mushrooms because the water does not go down the drain [like normal] it takes a longer time - right after putting in the brand new tubshroom. It's too thick or something.

Disappointed

6/16/2017 by Christine

This device does not work the way I'd hoped. Although it will likely catch hair, it will not easily stop food or other small debris from going down a shower or sink drain.

No good

My daughter and I have long hair, and we seem to lose a lot of it. I have recently been trying out different hair catchers. Stumbled upon this one. Was excited to try it out. Big Fail. I have had it about a month now. Every time I go to clean it out, there is no hair in there. I put my cheap $3 one back in and I have to empty out every couple days. Don't waste your time or money with this product.

Welllll

It's too small for my shower and that's what I wanted it for.
But maybe I can use it somewhere else.

doesn't work so well

This fits into my shower drain but it fills up most of the pipe space consequently it doesn't work so well. The shower bottom fills up with water because it doesn't permit a lot of water to flow through.

Nasty

This product does catch some hair, but it is very nasty to remove the hair from the TubShroom.

Needs to be tweaked

9/15/2016 by Sarah

So I am constantly trying to find ways to keep hair from going down my drain - thought I'd give this a shot. It is not quite large (wide) enough to sit in my drain correctly so it falls down and doesn't work properly. If the bottom were a bit wider, it would be great. Wish it was sold in sizes.

Doesn't fit

8/11/2016 by Jennifer

I thought this was such a great idea. I use one of those typical flat hair catchers and I'm constantly worried it will move and something will slide down the drain. HOWEVER I was very disappointed when it was too small for my drain and didn't work. I have an older house and didn't realize the drain wouldn't be a standard size. So, this product is on a shelf now with no way to use it. Sad

The TubShroom Story

The only ‘shroom you want in your bathroom.

Tub & Sink Drain Protectors

Elena Karnegie and her husband Serge were spurred to create TubShroom after one to many clogged drains. Take four humans and add two hairy pets—a German Shepherd and a shower-loving, super fluffy cat—and their house was prone to some serious clogs. Nothing they tried could catch all of the hair in their household, so they developed this easy-clean, catch-all plug. And the innovation didn't stop there. Elena and Serge wanted to help folks keep food and gunk out of their sinks drains as well, so they invented SinkShroom to help keep the water flowing all through the house.
