just o.k.

this thing barely fits my drain. if i insert it all the way in, it sits flush on top of the drain, backing up the water. i have to put it in about half way to make it sit up higher to work properly. but it won't stay in that position. it keeps falling down into the drain.

Keeps out the hair

Nice idea. I was very excited about this product. It keeps the hair from going down the drain which is it's primary goal but even with a few hairs on it the water in the tub doesn't drain fast enough. You end up standing in soapy water which is slippery and I just don't like.

restricts drainage

I really hate to write a bad review on here because i love the ingenuity BUT this slow down drainage so much. before I even got in the shower, after turning shower on, the tub was filling up with water. by the time my hair was washed I was standing in 8" of water.

poor performance

design is lacking any stability. Also collects and mold.

Measure your drain. Mine was too large

7/14/2016 by Joe

Seems like a great device, but the diameter of the drain was too wide, old drain ~1951, and the catcher fell to the bottom and the five holes at the top were not large enough to provide a real-time drain for the flow from the shower.

Gave to my daughter.

Does not fit drain

Sadly this does not fit the drain. Drain is shallow and itt thy me is too tall it will it sit low enough to stay secure

Waste of money

I placed in my shower and it just clog the hole. It could not have caught the hair because the water was just puddling around my feet not going down the drain. I had to remove it because the water was getting too high and would of spilled out onto my floor. I have a walk in shower. I threw this product in the garbage.

Not sure if it fits

9/11/2019 by Janice

I truly love this very well thought of product. But my house is 30 years old and this tool does not stand up in the tub drain. The top of the hair catcher goes all the way to the top of the drain. My husband takes it out because
he says it makes the water fill up to his mid calf,
I love this, just wish it would have an adjustment to fit my sink better.

Not so good

I don’t like this item at all. Does not stop
hair from going down the drain and is not
very attractive. Would not recommend it.

Bad fit.

It doesn't fit well and is letting hair get through.

The TubShroom Story

The only ‘shroom you want in your bathroom.

Clog-Free Drains

Hair left behind in the tub or circling the drain is an everyday nuisance, but TubShroom’s drain hair catcher has it covered. With this flexible silicone plug, you won’t be looking at wads of wet hair—or having chronically clogged pipes.

It fits into your drain, replacing the standard metal hair catcher or stopper in your tub or sink. Its spool-like shape snags hair around it, below the surface where you can’t see it, but before it reaches the pipes. Though the hair is captured, holes allow water to still flow. Pull the plug out and wipe off any hair with a tissue once or twice a week. Pop it
back in, and you’re good to go. The new Kitchen SinkShroom is a flexible, stainless steel kitchen sink strainer that doesn't slow the flow of water so now you can keep all drains clog-free from your bathroom to kitchen sink.

Take four humans and add two hairy pets—a German Shepherd and a shower-loving, super fluffy cat—and you’re prone to some serious clogs. This is what spurred Elena Karnegie and her husband Serge to create TubShroom. Nothing they tried could catch all of the hair in their household, so they created this little wonder-working plug.
