not so good

it only slowed my draining of water

Does not fit any tubs or sinks

7/6/2017 by Andrew

While this is a nice idea, it is not designed to fit many, if any, actual drains. It does not fit a single bathtub drain in our house (the drain latch is in the way below the surface of the drain opening). It also does not fit any of our sinks. It may fit standup showers- ones without a tub. Who knows? I do not recommend this product.

can not recommend

It blocks the water flow too much so the water backs up
It does catch the hair though

Doesn't fit

This doesn't fit in our drain! The cover for our drain screws on in two places and when the cover is removed those areas are exposed plus the shroom sticks up too high and someone would trip on it. This was a waste for us.

$12.95 down the drain!

This"product" does not catch hair, but allows the hair to go down into the piping to clog the tub.

Perhaps it was designed by a plumber looking for work

what a ripoff

I purchased the TubShroom as a stocking stuffer for my husband. This product does not work! All the hair is in the drain pipes stuffing up the tub. Thanks so much for your false advertising along with your phony product.

Easier to use the old screen.

I initially thought this was a great idea but it turns out to be more difficult to remove the hair and soap particles from the "shroom" than it was the old drain screen.

Not good

Item was too small/narrow for my drain even though I measured exactly. My measurements were the same as the item specifications. The Tubshroom was higher than my drain also and did not collect the hair as advertised. Returned.

drained too slow

12/1/2016 by DEBORAH

Didn't work for me. The tub filled up because it drained too slow! It did catch the hair like it promised but you end up standing in a lot of water during the shower and then it took so long to drain I finally pulled it out.

Waste of money

The TubShroom Story

The only ‘shroom you want in your bathroom.

Clog-Free Drains

Hair left behind in the tub or circling the drain is an everyday nuisance, but TubShroom’s drain hair catcher has it covered. With this flexible silicone plug, you won’t be looking at wads of wet hair—or having chronically clogged pipes.

It fits into your drain, replacing the standard metal hair catcher or stopper in your tub or sink. Its spool-like shape snags hair around it, below the surface where you can’t see it, but before it reaches the pipes. Though the hair is captured, holes allow water to still flow. Pull the plug out and wipe off any hair with a tissue once or twice a week. Pop it
back in, and you’re good to go. The new Kitchen SinkShroom is a flexible, stainless steel kitchen sink strainer that doesn't slow the flow of water so now you can keep all drains clog-free from your bathroom to kitchen sink.

Take four humans and add two hairy pets—a German Shepherd and a shower-loving, super fluffy cat—and you’re prone to some serious clogs. This is what spurred Elena Karnegie and her husband Serge to create TubShroom. Nothing they tried could catch all of the hair in their household, so they created this little wonder-working plug.
