A complete disaster of a product

11/2/2016 by Jill

I had high hopes for this drain hair catcher. Unfortunately, they were unfounded. Not only does this clog up the drain as soon as any hair gets in it, but it clogs up the drain and causes water to rise in the tub as soon as you start running the shower. I cannot figure out how this product made it out of a testing lab - what a disappointment.

Did not fit drain. It was too long.

I think it would work if it fit the drain hole.

Too small for my tub!

Doesnt Work

Was excited when I purchased this product since I have struggled with drain issues. Unfortunately the product does not work well. Water does not drain while showering and fills in the tub so you are standing in water. Sadly, I will be asking for a way to return the drain plug.

Didn't work for me

Restricted the water flow too much, couldn't use.

Doesn't work on large flat drain

Despite the instructions,C this did nothing but back up our shower. Will give it to someone with a traditional size drain hole .

A waste of money

Using the stopper as shown cause it to pick up very little hair. If pushed all the way down, your standing in water over your toes.

Tub/sink shroom

Too big for my sink drain. I think it should only be used for a tub.

Slows the water draining to a crawl

7/15/2016 by Jeff Maker

Unfortunately this item doesn't allow the water to drain efficiently and you end up standing in ankle deep water while showering. My wife is not happy with it and actually pulls it out of the drain while showering, which obviously defeats the purpose of the product.

The TubShroom Story

The only ‘shroom you want in your bathroom.

Clog-Free Drains

Hair left behind in the tub or circling the drain is an everyday nuisance, but TubShroom’s drain hair catcher has it covered. With this flexible silicone plug, you won’t be looking at wads of wet hair—or having chronically clogged pipes.

It fits into your drain, replacing the standard metal hair catcher or stopper in your tub or sink. Its spool-like shape snags hair around it, below the surface where you can’t see it, but before it reaches the pipes. Though the hair is captured, holes allow water to still flow. Pull the plug out and wipe off any hair with a tissue once or twice a week. Pop it
back in, and you’re good to go. The new Kitchen SinkShroom is a flexible, stainless steel kitchen sink strainer that doesn't slow the flow of water so now you can keep all drains clog-free from your bathroom to kitchen sink.

Take four humans and add two hairy pets—a German Shepherd and a shower-loving, super fluffy cat—and you’re prone to some serious clogs. This is what spurred Elena Karnegie and her husband Serge to create TubShroom. Nothing they tried could catch all of the hair in their household, so they created this little wonder-working plug.
