Best scrub I have ever used

1/31/2014 by Paul Isaac

I will never buy another cheap polyester bath scrub or loofa again.

The first time I used this product in the shower I could not believe how soft and shiny it left my skin feeling! Seriously. I feel like a vampire from Twilight.

I had just returned from the beach to find that my skin was severely sunburnt, and this product was soft enough in that it didn't irritate my skin when scrubbing my affected shoulders. As the dead skin started to peel away, the scrub gently exfoliated all those flakes off to leave smooth, healthy skin. I imagine this product will work even better for bath time once I purchase a body wash of a more organic nature, as opposed to the chemical-laden crud I get from any ol' supermarket.

Haven't used these in the kitchen yet, but I'm looking forward to the opportunity. An excellent product; I'll definitely be getting more for my family.

Its a yes!

This is rather a unique item that I had to use a couple times before making a decision. I have decided that I definitely like my toockie!

Ive read that those netted bath puffs being unhygienic. Yet a wash cloth in the shower is actually a bit clumsy.

I like this because it does a mild job of exfoliation, suds up nicely, but is easy to maneuver with one hand! And yes, I can throw it in the wash, and be sure of a clean bath product every time!

Toockies are the BEST!

12/27/2013 by Gloria

I used to use one of those nylon scrungies to shower with but felt that they never got clean enough when washed because they can't be put in the dyer. Then I treated myself to Toockies. I love this product. The weave in the cloth holds the soap and helps remove those dead skin cells but is soft enough for my face. They wash and dry wonderfully without shrinkage or fraying. I also love the idea that purchasing them helps the women in Nabapur support their families and that this product is hand made. I even purchased some to give as Christmas presents and plan on buying more. Thanks Aunt Toockie!

I bought these for my daughters for part of their Christmas gifts. They are so soft and feminine looking. I think they will both be very pleased with them.

The Toockies Story

Toockies - Organic Cotton Scrub Cloths

Wonder Cloths

Most of us don’t give much thought to our washcloths and kitchen sponges, but Toockies are no ordinary scrub cloths. Conceived as an alternative to disposable towels and synthetic scrubbers, Toockies are made with 100% organic cotton. The densely knit ribbing is surprisingly great at picking up small crumbs when you’re wiping down the countertops and dislodging baked-on food when you’re scrubbing pots and pans. In the bathroom, used as a personal washcloth, Toockies really get your skin clean without leaving you feeling scrubbed raw.

The inspiration for Toockies spans generations and
continents. The design is based on vintage knitted dishcloths that traditionally were given as gifts to homemakers. Anna Marie Stauss knew them as Toockies, named for her mother-in-law’s cousin, and they were a staple in her home. Anna Marie wanted to spread the word about these hardworking kitchen cloths, and she also wanted to find a way to help women who desperately need a source of income. (Anna Marie grew up in a small fishing village in the Azores, where her mother did embroidery work to help support the family.) She joined forces with Jaya Basu, and together they connected with 270 women in Nababpur, India, who’ve been trained to knit the Toockies in fair-trade conditions, providing a critical source of income for their families.

Toockies work hard, last long, and empower women. Everything about these wonder cloths feels good to us.
