it may 'grow' on me

Not 'in love' with it, but I do like it...

a little too thick and not flexible to clean dishes. May work best in bath.

Okay if they are for a good cause

I am glad if my purchase helped out someone in need, but I do not find they work as well as a washcloth as I had hoped they would. It seems hard to get them saturated with water, and they never really soften up.

Just ok

Somewhat thick for a washcloth.

They are not what I expected in softness, but they are functional.

Not sure

I got the multi-use 6 pack thinking I could use them in the kitchen, but they are just too big and a bit thick in my opinion.

I'll be trying them in the shower, but their size and thickness seems generally a bit much for my considered uses.

They are ok. However, not more than just a wash cloth.

Not so great

Thought these would be great for travel, but they are thick and coarse. Am going to stick with the terry washcloths.

washers - not

I really want to like these. I bought the six pack a couple months ago because the original "Womens Toockies" were sold out. The other ones started to get mold after the first wash. At first I just thought it was makeup but after it didn't come out after washing and more areas appeared I became very concerned. I thought the original "Womens Toockies" would be better but no they also became black with mold right away.
I think they are just too thick and don't dry properly. After I wash them I throw them in dryer with my other towels, after one hour they are still damp so I air-dry them the rest of the way. I am really disappointed I really wanted them to work.

My viewpoint

I have only used them in the kitchen but I would l not buy them again. Too thick and clumpy to wash dishes and don't really like them for cleaning the counters. Sponges work better. Not worth the money. Probably too thick for wash cloths but I will try.

The Toockies Story

Toockies - Organic Cotton Scrub Cloths

Wonder Cloths

Most of us don’t give much thought to our washcloths and kitchen sponges, but Toockies are no ordinary scrub cloths. Conceived as an alternative to disposable towels and synthetic scrubbers, Toockies are made with 100% organic cotton. The densely knit ribbing is surprisingly great at picking up small crumbs when you’re wiping down the countertops and dislodging baked-on food when you’re scrubbing pots and pans. In the bathroom, used as a personal washcloth, Toockies really get your skin clean without leaving you feeling scrubbed raw.

The inspiration for Toockies spans generations and
continents. The design is based on vintage knitted dishcloths that traditionally were given as gifts to homemakers. Anna Marie Stauss knew them as Toockies, named for her mother-in-law’s cousin, and they were a staple in her home. Anna Marie wanted to spread the word about these hardworking kitchen cloths, and she also wanted to find a way to help women who desperately need a source of income. (Anna Marie grew up in a small fishing village in the Azores, where her mother did embroidery work to help support the family.) She joined forces with Jaya Basu, and together they connected with 270 women in Nababpur, India, who’ve been trained to knit the Toockies in fair-trade conditions, providing a critical source of income for their families.

Toockies work hard, last long, and empower women. Everything about these wonder cloths feels good to us.
