Wonderful product

These wash cloths leave your skin feeling so good and healthy-looking! I usually wash my face first and then put just a little cleanser on the Toockie to lightly massage in circles over my face for the exfoliation. That way makeup doesn't get on the Toockie. I liked them so much that I bought more to give to friends as gifts.

They are a fantastic product. They get in the nooks and crannies. I use them in the kitchen, they scrub very well.

The best wash cloth I have ever used!

I am constantly on the lookout for a scrubbing wash cloth that really removes the dead skin off my arms. I have tried harsh loofahs, charcoal wash cloths-you name it. But every time I have used these I dry myself from the shower with the same result-dead skin peeling from my arms. Not anymore! These work like a charm, I feel clean and the days of dead skin have disappeared. They are intended to be thrown in the washer after use then dried. They haven't lost their shape or effectiveness. I can't recommend these hand-made cloths enough. They are the best around and I've never felt so clean!

I really like the Toockies wash cloths, which do a nice job of cleaning and buffing my face. I plan buying more for gifts for friends.

Terrific Toockies

I bought these for our family because I feel my bath scrunchies kept falling apart. I love that I can use these a couple times and toss them in the washer. My daughter loves them because they do not irritate her eczema. Awesome deal.

Soft enough to use on the skin but durable enough to clean the kitchen - these are the kind my mother used to crochet- very good quality- liking them so far! Also sent for a Christmas gift and they were super impressed!

A very nice product to give to your world conscious friends or self. Excellent quality, great give back story, fun to use product. Wish I had bought morel for others and some for my self. They are on the top of my gifting list this year.

I love my Toockie wash cloths! They're extremely well-made and strong. I use mine in the kitchen and love that, with the packet of six that I purchased, I can immediately replace one that's gotten dirty with use. I definitely recommend washing these cloths before using them the first time. Great item!

The Toockies Story

Toockies - Organic Cotton Scrub Cloths

Wonder Cloths

Most of us don’t give much thought to our washcloths and kitchen sponges, but Toockies are no ordinary scrub cloths. Conceived as an alternative to disposable towels and synthetic scrubbers, Toockies are made with 100% organic cotton. The densely knit ribbing is surprisingly great at picking up small crumbs when you’re wiping down the countertops and dislodging baked-on food when you’re scrubbing pots and pans. In the bathroom, used as a personal washcloth, Toockies really get your skin clean without leaving you feeling scrubbed raw.

The inspiration for Toockies spans generations and
continents. The design is based on vintage knitted dishcloths that traditionally were given as gifts to homemakers. Anna Marie Stauss knew them as Toockies, named for her mother-in-law’s cousin, and they were a staple in her home. Anna Marie wanted to spread the word about these hardworking kitchen cloths, and she also wanted to find a way to help women who desperately need a source of income. (Anna Marie grew up in a small fishing village in the Azores, where her mother did embroidery work to help support the family.) She joined forces with Jaya Basu, and together they connected with 270 women in Nababpur, India, who’ve been trained to knit the Toockies in fair-trade conditions, providing a critical source of income for their families.

Toockies work hard, last long, and empower women. Everything about these wonder cloths feels good to us.
