Works nicely but not for all sizes.

1/29/2018 by Beth

I’m a groomer and bought two sizes to try out. I think they’ll work good for cats and small dogs but aren’t big enough for large dogs like our German Shepherd. Most dogs just aren’t comfortable enough to let us slowly trim away with multiple little snips (for those with large, hard nails). Also, unless you get the perfect size for your pet, you can cut too much and quick (bleed) them. They are comfortable to use and easy to hold.

Need a bigger size than xxl

I think these would have worked good if they had been large enough for my Rotties, unfortunately the largest size was not big enough so I returned them.

Great design

1/28/2018 by Marlene

They work very well, but the trick is in the size of the hole. Since I have a kitten (5 months), I got the recommended kitten size. But I'm finding that it doesn't take quite enough off of the nail so I should probably return them. But then I'm not sure what next size to get. Plus, as the kitten ages, the hole size will vary, and you can't keep on buying new ones. What to do?

Not tough enough

9/29/2019 by Nancy

We recently adopted our dog. Her nails had been neglected. Don't know if that's the reason why they're so tough to clip or not but these, unfortunately, just weren't strong enough for her nails. I could not squeeze them to clip most of the nails. Love the concept. Sizing was perfect. Got the XXL as she is 54 pounds. The nail fit right in the hole and stopped just shy of the quick, but just didn't always clip.

Need to be stronger

6/26/2019 by Gwen

it doesn’t seem to want to cut through my dog’s nails. It doesn’t seem to be strong enough. These are the size 7. I have the size 6 as well and they work well except for the hole being smaller. It doesn’t take off enough of the nail. I like this type better than other ones because they aren’t as traumatic for my dog. They are easier to use too.

Not what I had hoped

My dog is an older dog with thick nails, the nails would fit into the hole however this was not sturdy and strong enough to cut the nail. May work with a younger dog.

Be careful with your size choice!

I chose the size according to the weight of my dog... a Papillon weighing 22 lbs.
I ordered the large size and it was WAY TOO SMALL! I gave the trimmers to my daughter for her cat & chihuahua.

Did not work for me. Only cut the top off

Does not cut enough off

Broke after 3 nails clipped

I really like the idea of these clippers but I could only get 3 nails clipped before they broke.

XXL too small for Doberman

10/23/2018 by Melissa

Great idea, but FYI the XXL is too small for a Doberman. At least it is for my Doberman, who is of average Dobie build and weighs 75-80 pounds.

The Zen Clipper Story

Finally! Faster, safer nail trims for pets.

Stress-Free Trims

Zen Clippers have taken their conically designed nail clippers and sized it to suit an array of pets to make nail trims easier and quicker.

There are seven sizes to fit pets like birds, lizards, bunnies, cats, and dogs. And there’s a sizing guide to make sure you get the right fit.

The cutting—or in this case, shearing—is done by a stainless-steel blade inside the conical design. There’s no sharp blade exposed, and the design allows in the just-right amount of nail, so there’s no over-cutting. This also protects the super sensitive quick from getting accidentally snipped, too.

The clippers get
the job done quickly, so there’s less hassle (and stress) for you and your pet. And they are guaranteed to last a lifetime of nail trims, too. Read More Read Less
