Did not work for me. Only cut the top off

Does not cut enough off

Broke after 3 nails clipped

I really like the idea of these clippers but I could only get 3 nails clipped before they broke.

XXL too small for Doberman

10/23/2018 by Melissa

Great idea, but FYI the XXL is too small for a Doberman. At least it is for my Doberman, who is of average Dobie build and weighs 75-80 pounds.

Pups to large

Got the biggest one and didn’t come close to fitting or clipping the nails of my two larger dogs. Rottweiler and Lab mix - both at 100 lbs. Great concept but not for my babies.

Not large enough

7/13/2018 by Ruth

Ordered this in the largest
Size for my 2 large dogs. Could not even get the top of their nails in the hole. A Lab/Terrier and a Rottweiler both at about 100 lbs. a great idea but not for my babies.

First of all, this is a very high quality set of clippers. I am very pleased with the construction. My disappointment has to do with the "fit" of the clipper to my pets' claws. There were "guides" to help you choose the right size for your pet, but I found them very hard to use (have you ever tried to unsheathe a cat's claws and then hold the unhappy cat's paw up to a tiny dot?). In desperation I gave up and just ordered the size that was recommended for cats. It looked small to me, but I trusted your judgement. My cats are normal sized, as are their claws, but the size clippers was totally wrong. I would be clipping my cats' claws every week if I used this pair of clippers because it cut off just the tip, didn't do more than this. I understand that the point is to not cut into the quick of the nail...but the extra small is just too small for cats unless all you want is to cut off the last 1/8 of the claw. So...good product but bad at doing what I wanted it to do.

Painful squeeze.

4/16/2018 by Lisa

I purchase the correct size for my dog but the squeeze was apparently painful to my dog and it didn't even cut the tip of the nail. I think the design concept is great but there is not enough substance to the handle (cheaply made spring) nor a sharp enough blade. Had high hopes but I wasted $20 plus shipping.

Should Have Bought the Largest

2/12/2018 by Steven

I bought 2 sizes- one for Chihuahua sized pets and the X-tra large size for our dogs up to about 60 lbs. This size is NOT big enough and our 30 lb Beagle still had to be taken to the Vet to be cut! We also have a Red Tick mix who is 6o lbs that it didn't come close to fitting. We used the downloadable chart and- using that- decided on this particular size as- according to that- it was the proper choice. Seems well made but very pricey for what you get. So far spent $40.00 and need the 'largest' size to do the trick. Should sell as complete set at decent price to make it worthwhile.

Good idea but works poorly

1/31/2018 by Teresa

I purchased according to the size chart but find the cutout for the nails to be too small for the most part. The scissors seem to twist the nail causing discomfort. Not a fan, but willing to try the larger size. I had great hopes that I wouldn't have to use the Dremel any longer.

Wish these worked!

I was so excited about these and the concept is excellent. Unfortunately, they don't have enough leverage to actually cut through my dog's nails. So disappointed.

The Zen Clipper Story

Finally! Faster, safer nail trims for pets.

Stress-Free Trims

Zen Clippers have taken their conically designed nail clippers and sized it to suit an array of pets to make nail trims easier and quicker.

There are seven sizes to fit pets like birds, lizards, bunnies, cats, and dogs. And there’s a sizing guide to make sure you get the right fit.

The cutting—or in this case, shearing—is done by a stainless-steel blade inside the conical design. There’s no sharp blade exposed, and the design allows in the just-right amount of nail, so there’s no over-cutting. This also protects the super sensitive quick from getting accidentally snipped, too.

The clippers get
the job done quickly, so there’s less hassle (and stress) for you and your pet. And they are guaranteed to last a lifetime of nail trims, too. Read More Read Less
